Brummie
To fill the void she made a couple of new friends from her old persons neighbourhood. They were not JWs but all being lonely had taken up playing bingo in a little club for lonely old timers, my gran was tempted to go along once....She then waited with guilt for the elders to call. And for once they did.Her new friends quickly disappeared because she had been forbidden to play their ungodly little number calling games...she waited and waited for her true freinds to take thier place.
She waited again for more visits but this time the elders had no reason to call so they didnt.
Brummie, how very odd. This happened to my mom too. She lived at a nursing home and finally after 2 years there got interested enough to leave the room land play bingo. A super righteous sister on one of her very few vists ,told her it was a sin to play bingo. It was months before i found out and i went straight to the PO and told him. He knew my mom and went to talk with her and told her it was ok.So she happily wwnt back to her bingo.
I almost cried when i read your story about your gandma.
people can be so cruel.
wednesday I'm glad you marched round and sorted it out, who the eck do they think they are.
As far as I can remember,Bingo was never allowed because it meant the elderly were putting their trust in the God of good luck (troop), geesh I get annoyed.

How can I survive on cat food?Scully, Brummie and I do...
Oh, there's an idea. Start a "ministry" (non-religious) for elderly JWs. I wonder how one could identify them.
Actually Brummie, the PO and his wife both went to see her. They told me they played bingo . I guess he does not believe everything the WTS says either.I was very grateful for their help. As for that other sister, she had bette hope she does not run into me in a back alley.
Brummie, I remember that thread. If you notice Sheila and I were both still newbies..
Faithful until the end..very sad.
And to answer your question, flirting is very good. It's a healthy way of socializing.

Old people (like onacruse) ask:
Why do little whipper-snappers like Brumm have more posts than me?
Answers that work:
Because Brumm is really just a cat, jumping up and down on the keyboard.
