Need an Ordained Minister in the Dallas area!

As I'm sure you have already read.... Jesika and I are to be wed. If anyone here is or knows of an ordained minister of JOP who would be willing to preside over our nuptuals for a low to no charge it would be greatly appreciated.

Please send me an email to [email protected] with any information that might help us. As I am switching to active duty at the moment I have had a momentary stop in pay that is causing us to tighten our belt for just a bit.

We (Chelbie & me) obtained the services of a "justice of the peace" for only $100 here in Minnesota. She was warm and friendly, and did a great job in her little "speech" in summarizing what marriage is all about, in just a few minutes, with no religious references. It was great, and a very happy time.

PR, I talked to WildTurkey and he said he would he glad to marry you two. He is ordained as a JW, but he said he will go to the courthouse and get signed up again, as non demoninational , something like that, ( anything but JW, lol),,,,,,,,this is something he was going to do soon anyway. His nephew is going to marry his g/f soon, as has asked him to do the wedding.

The only thing is having to drive to Louisiana.........but think about it and we can find some place to have the wedding,,,,, I can get busy as a bee to get things done.

My friend's son was married in a nice hotel room (the room they were staying in) by a JP. When he tried to pay him, he just shook his hand and said "be happy, and that's all the payment I want." They got divorced less than five years later. But it was a good thing..............she was a WITCH. I testified at their custody hearing for their little girl.

There might be some nice ones around. Congratulations you guys!!!!!!!!!!! Wonderful news.

There are sites that provide free ordinations... universalministries.com and spiritualhumanism.org are two. Then again, Texas law may not require a formal ordination... it may just require you to register with the county clerk or something. So if you have a friend who would do it for you, that's an option to consider.
