Someone mentioned Van Morrison. One time I was driving late at night listening to one of those stations that plays obscure album tracks and they played this song. I could tell it was Van Morrison so I did a little research and discovered this song.

    Kingdom Hall

    So glad to see you
    So glad you're here
    Come here beside me now
    We can clear inhibition away
    All inhibitions
    Throw them away
And when we dance like this
Like we've never been dancin' before

    Chorus:
    Oh, they were swingin'
    Down at Kingdom Hall
    Oh, bells were ringin'
    Down at the Kingdom Hall
    A choir was singin'
    Down at the Kingdom Hall
    Hey, liley, liley, liley
    Hey, liley, liley, low
Do do do do do do, do
Do do do do do do
Do do do do do do, do
Do do do do do do

    Good body music
    Brings you right here
    Free flowin' motion now
When we're shakin' it out on the floor
    Good rockin' music
    Down in your shoes
And when we dance like this
Like we've never been dancin' before

    Repeat Chorus

    Down at the Kingdom Hall
    They were havin' a party
    They were havin' a ball
    Bells were ringing out
    And the choir was singin'
    Hey, liley, liley, liley
    Hey, liley, liley, low
Do do, do do, do do, do do
    Sugar was there
    Did you see Sugar
    Down at the Kingdom Hall
    Sugar was tough

I don't know if this guy is a JW, but he died and is a well known artist. His memorial service will be at a Kingdom Hall.

    Joe Pinckney
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (AP) - Joe Pinckney, an artist known for his paintings of the Gullah culture, has died. He was 75.

Pinckney died Tuesday from kidney failure, his daughter Ellice Lewis said.

The Gullah descended from African slaves who settled on isolated sea islands and marshy areas from Jacksonville, Fla., to Wilmington, N.C., in the 19th century.

Pinckney painted his first Gullah piece in the late 1970s, becoming interested in the subject when he heard native islanders talk about how the culture developed because it was isolated.

"I think it was an extraordinary kind of art, because Joe did such a great job in portraying the Gullah culture and all of the traditions of the Gullah culture," said former Penn Center director Emory Campbell.

Pinckney was born in New York City. His father moved the family to South Carolina when Pinckney was 10. He returned to New York City and won two scholarships, allowing him to study at the New York School of Industrial Art and the Manhattan School of Printing.

not sure if this counts but (for the UK members) I saw Trever Cleaver at Twickenham Convention one year (he was in Grange Hill)

Why so many artists? Could it be that the fantasy world of the dubland fits in nicely with the high level fantasy/art that fills thier heads anyway?

    Just a thought.
