  Jul 14, 2003 4:57 pm US/Mountain Police in Malaysia say a man cut off his own penis and then fried and ate it. They say he had taken hallucinogenic drugs that caused him to hear voices urging him to mutilate himself. A police spokesman says the 34-year-old man took the drugs before he went to bed Friday night and heard the voices when he woke up. He didn't realize what he had done until he saw the blood. The man had recently been released from a drug rehabilitation center. Malaysia's national news agency reports he's hospitalized in stable condition.

  Our local paper a couple of months ago had a story about the police being called to a disturbance at a house and when they got there they found a woman with ALL her teeth pulled out by her boyfriend.

  She didn't press charges though because they had both been so high on drugs. She'd heard voices telling her the teeth were possessed and got her boyfriend to pull them out.

  So I'm not that surprised at this story.

  Maybe the voice was telling them to use their "guns" ... but being high on drugs they heard "gums" instead.

  That is so pathetic it is actually funny.

  I consider it a useful action however. By his course the man subsequently aids in "thinning the herd" and thereby guaranteeing future generations that they will not be condemned to share the same gene pool with him.

  A pity more people do not commit such atrocities on themselves.
