What if he got it, decided it really wasn't much use to him and so put it on ebay, but wasn't planning to make copies and sell them or anything? I'm just saying what if...It still would be not that cool...but it wouldn't really be evil or anything...

He got it for FREE. If he didn't like it, he could throw it out and he'd be out precisely ZERO bucks.

I don't see how it is any different than someone putting together a Linux build cd... sure it is free and anyone can download the components from the web, but a person can put it in a nice package and then sell it. I'm sure some would be willing to pay a little for the convenience of not having to search around and put such a thing together on their own.

You can do the same thing with anything that is considered "public domain". If you wanted you could write to the federal, state, and local governments asking for information about grants... then take that information and put it in a nice binder and resell it.

Then at least sell it for the cost of the cd and actual shipping.

That would come out to around, um, about a nickel for the cd, and um, around $1-2 for shipping. This "David," asking $10 for something that everyone knows was free and that the author insisted be free is nothing more than a greedy bastard. It wouldn't surprise me if he makes more copies of the CD and sells them on ebay if he gets bidders. Now, I can see doing a dutch auction for .50 each and shipping for $1.50. That is one thing. But outright selling it for $10 is dishonest.

It's disgusting to see someone profiteering from someone else's hard work which will undoubtedly help many.

I think that if anyone, the original person who put in all the work (and it must have took some time) producing the CDs deserves any money. Except his standards are obviously higher and he's interested in helping people instead of just taking advantage.

I hope no one buys them off EBay!

    "Hey Nathan,
On second thought Ill remove it. I don't think I would want to have people buy a CD anyway that has books that tell them only a certain class of people were raised from the dead in 1918 A.D. and that that they can't receive communion as their elders do. Nor do I need your henchmen showing up at my door threathing me or my family. Thanks for the warning. Now I know what kind of low life you and your organization really are."

I was the bad guy all along, I guess.

    Thank you david63042.

I also want to thank you all for your support, and I am convinced that we had help from the invisible realm - ninja apostates, that is!
