Well, for those of us who won't be going out of town this week.

3 Cheers for all the folks who will be making it to the Green Bay Apostafest, safe journey to and from all the goings-on there.

OK, I am going to be here (at home and on-line), and of course not working late Friday night into Saturday morning (July 18/19).

There's a pretty damn good rock station that broadcasts from Hamilton, Ontario. That's about 70 kms. southwest of me at the western most edge of Lake Ontario. Anyways, the station is called: Y108.

At the stroke of midnight Friday, there's a really cool DJ on there, and I like his music selection as well as 'he does take requests'.

Anyone interested in a listen-in on Friday night coming? The DJ is Mike Bragg, he's damn good and decent on-air personality. He starts at midnight EST (00:00 hr Saturday a.m. until 06:00 a.m.).

The website is, for those who are remotely curious: http://www.y108.ca

They broadcast LIVE over the internet.

Anyone interested, either post a msg., but better still, send me a private message via the forum.

I will be partying a bit here at home: case of Brick yellow label Lager and the computer. Fun!

Let's Rock n' roll and party every day (KISS) .

    Anyone interested?

Cool beans Rayzor. I'm up at that time of night and I listen to the radio on the Net! What kind of rock do they play, I mean is it oldies current, grundge, middle of the road?

Of course I guess I could check out the site.

    Hey Big Tex.

I had some DSL (high speed) Internet problems, which are now finally remedied, thus I was not on-line for nearly 48 hours.

The radio station, generally plays classic rock, but peppers their shows with some recent stuff. I like the show, and the DJ, he is really good. There's some Canadian stuff that gets played that may not get played in the U.S. - overall, a good station.

Once I get home on Friday night, and the stroke of midnight hits, I will be tuning my radio to: 107.9 Mhz

But for those out of listening range, their on-line feed should suffice. I have tested it on occasionally, and it comes in nicely.

The DJ (Mike Bragg) is a damn fine dj, and fun to listen to.

I've let a few folks know, so hopefully we can tune in together etc., and e-mail requests. He just wrote me and gave me the 1-800 number (good for Canada & the U.S.A.).

Big Tex, you have a PM.

Anyone else considering the Friday night tune-in?

Just in case.....those of us who could not go to Green Bay and have some time on our hands this evening.

Oh yeah, for those of you far away on a different side of the planet, tune-in also.

I will be tuning into Y108 this evening at Midnight (Eastern Time) which is -5 hours Greenwich/UK.

So figure it out, and if you'd like to tune-in, please do.

Mike Bragg is a damn fine DJ, and will play your requests. It's classic rock - but a mix of present stuff and it's very good.

    I'll be back later.

I've been trying to get the audiostream loaded. It worked earlier, but now it's playing up.

I will try to be online at the same time you will be, so I can listen too.

Hey folks, if you are interested, just a reminder that a bunch of us (who have lots of time on our hands) will be tuning into a Y108 FM tonight.

I checked the LIVE feed, and it is working. There is a small pop-up window that'll appear once you click on the upper right box (Listen Live).

Now, for non-Canuck listeners, you can enter any Canadian postal code (different than the U.S.A./U.K. and Australian postal/zip codes). Example: M1N 3A4 (my old postal code, use it)

There's an ad box item that appears, even if you decline/delete: YOU CAN STILL LISTEN. They're totally cool with that. I have not been spammed by them. Just to let you know.

I'll be tuning in via my stereo, as I can pick up Y108 with my receiver.

Mike Bragg will be on at Midnight local time (Eastern Time, North America) which is - 5 hours from Greenwich Mean Time. If you are a bit confused about the time zones: Toronto/Hamilton are on the same time zone as: New York City, Boston, Detroit, Cleveland, Philadelphia (as an example) in the United States.

I hope you'll enjoy the show. It's classic rock, peppered with modern stuff, all good. Mike is my one of my favourite on-line DJs.

Check out his bio on the site too, he's a cool guy.

Enjoy, less than hour to go.

    I've e-mailed my request.

Prisca: you made my day - how? check your e-mail sweetie!

Thanks to everyone who has taken an interest with e-mails/private messages.

Howdy Ray. I'm feeling kinda punky tonight, so I'm leaving work early (in the next 20 minutes or so) and then I'm going home to go to bed.

I'm really sorry I'm not going to be here to join in the radio listen. I was looking forward to it. But I really do need to go to bed right now.

I've clicked on the "Listen Live" link and the streamaudio box is up, saying that it's loading the audio, but it's taking foreverrrrrrrrrrrr whereas when it linked up earlier, it only took a minute at the most.

Glad you got the package safely Ray. Happy listening

    Ah Prisca.....wouldn't you know it.

It could be the connection speed and distance. Also, if there are lots of people tuning in on-line, that may affect your ability to connect. I am using DSL (high speed), so that may make a difference, as well as those using Cable connection. The 56K may take longer, as well as the .5mbps - which is about half speed of North American DSL. But it'll connect. Once you're on: yippee!

I'm not going to listen on-line, as that leaves one portal of entry for our beloved Aussie darling.

    22 minutes and counting down.

Got my Brick Yellow Label Lager in hand, Doritoes....and the birds are diggin' the rock n' roll here too.
