I understand what you mean, Ariell. We are capable of some amazing things. I think the magic is that we underestimate ourselves. Then when someone goes to above and beyond what is expected, it seems supernatural. Psychology can explain many of the experiences people have with psychics. Stinky knows more about that than I do.

I think these so-called Psychics are full of sh#t, especially that one program: Crossing Over With John Edwards. One of the main tricks is for them to talk really fast and give really vague "intuitions" such as "I'm seeing that there was something wrong with your (dead) husband's chest area." This can include strokes, heart attacks, blood clots, asthma, cancer....all kinds of diseases and chances are, the husband who died, died of something "in his chest area". But to the poor sucker in the audience, they take this as a "sign" that John Edwards really has a gift for communicating with the dearly departed.
Be that as it may, I do think there is a good chance that something continues on when we die. I can't dismiss all the sightings and experiences people have had from the beginning of time as simply being mistaken.
Have you ever encountered anything nonhuman?
Yep. The Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses.

I got interested in illusions & ilussionists years ago and even built a couple of stage illusions. I wasn't a performer but I just loved the effects and as I learned "how it's done" I started watching the audiences for their reactions. Once you learn how a trick is done it ceases to be magic more often than not and the most amazing things are usually so simple (in principle). This goes for card tricks, stage shows, psychics...all of it.
At the state fair here in Dallas two years ago, me and my g/f were walking about and saw this large group of people watching some kind of act. The looks on these people's faces were a mix of disgust, horror and bewilderment! When we got to where I could see the stage I couldn't help but laugh out loud and the people around us were mortified that I was laughing!
On the stage was a guy with no lower torso and HE was making all kinds of wise cracks about his condition (like "can you guess who wears the pants in MY family?") so I joined in making fun of him too. That only egged him on and it was fun but people were getting mad at me! Even my g/f couldn't believe what I was doing so I had to let her in on how it was done. I had actually made a version of this illusion so I knew exactly how it worked but this was the first time I had seen it in a show and I was amazed at how real it lookedThe point being that the majority of this audience were completely fooled by a simple trick. It's ALL in the presentation and THAT is what makes a psychic's act work also. There's no box on a stage so you don't tend to think about the possibility of any gimmicks being used but there usually is. They're good actors but that's ALL they are.

I don't care if he's real or not, that man is kinda cute. lol Really, I like watching his show just for pure entertainment.
As for Crossing Over With John Edwards. Something about that man really annoys me. People will say "No" and he'll keep pushing them until they say yes.

There's nothing I hate more than unanswered questions.
May I suggest that you try to summon up more hatred for one important item? Answers based on no evidence, or bad answers that assign the supernatural to everything unexplained.
Live by this motto, and you'll be better off, imo: extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
It will definately set you apart from any JW, if you know what I mean.

I agree, Nickey! He seems like seducer. I can imagine him in Hollywood speaking slowly and charming all of the women. He has already dated Fiona Apple, Madonna, and a few models.
