To try and spin this as "satanic propaganda" is downright manipulative and wrong!

As Honest said above, please send that letter to the Aust Royal Commission. They are the nicest people to talk to, and would welcome this sort of thing, as it gives an insight into the reality of how the society distorts facts.

They just don't get it, do they? Their frustration must be hitting the roof - "we say we do things this way, but nobody is believing us".

The org is being judged on their actions, not by what they say they do. The tactic of saying one thing to the public but behaving differently behind closed doors isn't going to work this time.

It is time for the org to walk the talk and they don't know how to do it. They have been lying for so long that they don't know how to tell the truth. They have no truth to tell.

I have checked and there is NO such letter sent to Elders in the USA as of yesterday.

They tell the brothers and sisters to go online and research these things. They name watchtowers and publications and say: All of these things are answered in these publication if only they read.

Result? Most people don't actually do the research and simply believe what the society is saying. I may also go as far to say that some purposefully do not read and research the publications fearing to find that the watchtower is actually lying.

Would love to see a copy of that letter. If read during a meeting, it must have been sent to Canadian elders.

1. How do JWs view child abuse?
Answer: It's wrong and elders have authorization to report these scumbags to the authorities.

It says they have "authorization" ... but then everyone has the right to report any crime. What is missing is the OBLIGATION to report it. That is where they fail. Of course it doesn't help (and what they don't put on their website) is that they instruct the elders NOT to report crimes to the police, but to call the WTS instead and then they try to cover things up to avoid bad-press.

2. How can we help our families understand that these are cruel lies?

By indoctrination. Repeat the lies and keep doing it, demonize anyone giving out information (literally, claim it's Satan and demons behind the reporting!)

If there was a hell, the people behind this kind of thing would be the ones to burn in it.
