The Kingdom Halls must be emptying out. Wait til these "interested ones" Google Jehovah's witnesses. Boy, will they get a boat load of info. Not good info either.

Perhaps these invitations should read "You want to waste your time and money coming to listen to the most boring, dreary, bigoted speech (bigoted against everyone that doesn't join) imaginable? You want to donate your money and psychic power to the enslavement of the whole human race, with the ultimate demise of all valuable life on the planet? You want to be hounded to be one of those slaves, even before it goes global? You want communism, both now in this religion and for everyone when the psychic energy manifests itself worldwide? Then by all means waste the time and gas to come to this meeting."

Growing up the WTS had the congregations print a small slip with the meetings times, days, locations that could be given to everyone that was contacted at the door, informal witnessing, not at homes, etc.

We were encouraged to give them to everyone with the delusion that many people would come to the meetings...in the 45 years I went maybe one person a month showed up because a random slip given out.

haha! in olden days the WT would also print individual congregation handbills with a list of dates and talk titles for that specific congregation a month at a time. (Ah the joys of the small job press!)

Hence, the following statements in various KMs:

Kingdom Ministry December 1973, page 3

    Do You Leave a Handbill?

... In addition to handbills that advertise the public lecture program of the congregation for several weeks, there are those that give general information on the times of meetings and the location of the Kingdom Hall ...

Kingdom Ministry August 1967, page 4

    Leave Something with Everyone

... The publisher then kindly offered him a handbill for the talk to be given that week ...

What am I missing? How is that campaign different from what they always do? ~ ScratchMe

The difference here is that they are only wasting 1-page tracts vs. 16-page magazines or even books. Another loving cost-saving change by the GB . . . . . (Good for ecology too -- less waste in the landfills.) . . . . Doc

They are bonkers. The very worst thing they could do is introduce someone to weird mind and bum numbingly boring Meetings before the person has been indoctrinated at least a little.

I really think the guys at the top have a death wish for this cult, or they are stupid beyond belief.

    Probably both.
