The end was supposed to be "at hand" for as long as this crap has been going on. They started it before the jokehovians--way back in the early part of the 1800s. Has the end come in a reasonable time for those starting back in the 1830s or 1840s?

Spiral - "...I also have always felt that, if we believe there is a God who would string everyone along like this, with veiled instructions only some understand, and many tests and pitfalls along the way, then we believe in a God who is not very righteous. He likes to watch people suffer. And, he's a terrible communicator. Hard to believe of someone who created the entire universe..."
Ehhh, more like an unsupervised five-year-old with ADD who's gotten into his dad's tools. :smirk:

When the scripture says "it will be when no one is expecting it" that refers to worldly people.
Jesus was talking to his disciples - his apostles, actually - when he made those statements - not "worldly people".

Here is the most telling of thoughts about when the end will be. In the last chapter of the last book of the bible john says that Jesus is coming quickly and very soon 5 times. 3 of these times he quotes Jesus as saying this. These scriptures were thought to be written in and about the year 98 AD. Even if this chapter was written later lets say around 300 AD., that's still roughly 1700 years ago.
So these scriptures is very telling as to the accuracy of the bible and when Jesus is to appear . Almost 2000 years and still no Jesus but he is coming quickly.

..... And what in the world was the point of that photo on the first page of the article supposed to convey? Are the JWs happily bantering and associating before the start of the program to be commended for their punctuality and contributing to the mutual interchange of spiritual encouragement, or to be censured for being rudely inattentive to the trombones blaring on the large monitor?
