Every month like clockwork, I vote on a location for the Northern New Jersey meetup (generally, I vote "no preference," unless one of the choices is particularly far away). And every month like clockwork, the meetup gets cancelled because there aren't 5 people interested enough to vote on a location.
Sigh. Am I the only apostate in NNJ?
I've been looking for a meet up near me, but they all seem to have been cancelled, even the ones halfway down the country.

JW Meet Up Cancelled for Saturday. Not enough people!! Three to be exact!!
I joined last Fall. Its been cancelled every month here in Minneapolis Minnesota. I guess its not popular!!!

We had a couple MeetUps that were "cancelled" for having too few rsvp...we went anyway. The last one, a poster here unexpectedly showed up (from 300 miles away!), and we've become good friends

Craig is right. Once you get phone numbers and email addresses of the potential attendees, you can then arrange to meet anyway. We (my hubby and I) once met with one other person, but it worked out well since we really got to know him.
Use Meet-up to arrange everything, but you don't have to follow the rules once the meeting is canceled. Remember, you aren't a JW anymore. You don't always have to follow the rules and an elder does not have to be present to have a get-together.
