I was getting Randy Watters newsletters, from “FreeMinds.org”, and looked at his site online. His site linked to this site. Thank you, Randy! I lurked here for quite some time before I created an account and joined in, I’m glad I did, just wish we could slow down on the political stuff.

I joined around 2000-2001 I'd been out about 12 years by that time. I may have found it through Randy's website, or a google search, I can't remember.

Yeah. I forgot to add that if it wasn't for towerwatch.com and Cal Lehman's forum, I probably would have never stumbled across this JWN forum about 13 years ago exactly. On Cal Lehman's forum, people always left links on his site to this one. I remember seeing Mouthy on his site and then coming on to here.

I haven't been on towerwatch.com for a while up until today. I dont't think Cal has a forum anymore on his site.

My Epiphany , my real "Wake Up" moment was deciding to read the Book of Daniel without JW Specs on, to glean just what it really said. I soon realised that the 1914 doctrine was simply not in there, was in fact the ravings of a very strange mind or two. The whole JW Theology, and claims for the G.B as chosen by Jesus were simply lies.

I first of all found Greg Stafford's Site, he was still a JW then, and was amazed to find he did not believe the JW nonsense about 1914 either ! One person who had come to the same conclusion as me ! I thought there MUST be many more such people ! Good old Mr. Google led me here, that was about 13 of 14 years ago, so, nearly as long as you Min !

I found a wealth of information here from many an erudite Poster, Allen F, Leolaia, a guy called Nicos ? who had worked on the French translation of the NWT, and many more. Not one believed in 1914 anymore, or any JW Bullshit. Great ! So, my Wake Up, then Google. Thank you to all the myriad Posters who helped me on my Spiritual Journey to Freedom of Mind ! And thanks for the thorough Education !

That includes you Min, for your constantly fresh views on things, and for provoking the same from others by starting Threads that made them think in a different way, keep it up Buddy !

Many years ago after 1993 I think when I left the religion then when I got a PC i started looking at sites about JW`s and one of the first was Shaun`s site and then Randy Waters another was a Brisbane woman name of Jan and more that 14 years ago I found this site and liked it so much I`m still here.

I think one of the first questions I had was about JW`s being an NGO with the United Nations Organizations I couldn`t believe that was true at first and had to get verification of it.

I then found the 'Quotes' website that I think got taken down by the Wathctower.

That was the one that did it for me, to convince me it was not the Truth that I had been led to believe it was but always doubted.

I searched internet for anything JW or anti-JW after hearing witnesses chat about apostates/Ray Franz and noticing signs outside at conventions. There were a lot of apostates at conventions in so cal early 90s. All were quiet standing with signs - looked very peaceful. Landed on H20. Seems there was another board shortly befoe/thereafter but then references to this one. Nothing when I initially started my search and I mean NOTHING! I even had techy child/nephew/niece help me searching when new to the big worldwide web.

Freeminds...Randy....fade...curiosity...Google....heart palpitations on first read. So programmed a demon would pop out and send me into something akin to an lsd trip. Got over that fast.....okies...the witchtower...some hilarious satire like should Christians have cats....or the (balaam) "ass class"
