Because girls/women are just naturally attracted to (Assuming Olaf was a "good" boy) bumbling, inexperienced, puerile, clueless virgins? I kinda think a man would have to be one to believe the story....

I once saw a brother resist to the temptation at school, not take higher education and become a pioneer. Result? He ended up having sex with one of the pioneers... they got married and dealt with depression and cleaned offices for a living.

Yep, Olaf would give her 3 minutes of the most fun he ever had.
As for the pioneer experience. Marriage is a convoluted controlled mess instead of the natural progression it should be.
