Its in a first world country. Major metropolitan area. Low crime area. I was told even the public speaker was on zoom.
Interesting comment regarding in person meeting attendance.

That's great news if the congregation is only 9. Mind you, if the congregation is 120, then

I think a lot of people are using the " safety " as an excuse to not attend in person. I think more than a few have made a run for it over the last two years.
We have a family member doing this very thing. Refusing to attend in person meeting by claiming to be afraid of putting elderly JWs at risk because they work in healthcare. And yes, they have become another one of those MIA JWs who only remains "in" because of their zealous PIMI spouse.

I am truly amazed that any still attend after all the financial misbehavior of the org over the past 30 years, the CSA cover-up, the wild reversal of doctrinal teachings, the sell-off of KH's, the revealed facts about prominent leaders going all the way back to Russell, and the ongoing expansion of shunning. Just wow!

Imagine if you were a Russian JW being tortured in prison and you found out that your fellow brothers in the west can barely make it to a zoom meeting in their own lounge room.
