Obviously he hasn't read any up to date health medical journals about obesity for men or woman. There are positive and documented connections made with being overweight and a slew of health problems such as ......

type 2 diabetes
high blood pressure
heart disease and strokes
certain types of cancer
sleep apnea
osteoarthritis
fatty liver disease
kidney disease
pregnancy problems, such as high blood sugar during pregnancy, high blood pressure, and increased risk for cesarean delivery (C-section)

The idiots!. Every doctor reading this will be further convinced the wt is run by a bunch of nutters. What the hell has the medical profession been saying for the past umpteen years;

watch the diet,
have a regime of simple exercise.
get proper sleep.

jw in my experience are as a group the unhealthiest of peoples. They lead a sedentary lifestyle and over eat.

My wife (uber) is has become dangerously over weight since she returned to the T some years ago and has a an eve increasing number of health issues now.

It is a fact that there are more female JWs than males. This results in the problem with the problem that there will be single, unmarried females with no prospect of finding a partner. Naturally the prettier females will be cherry picked.

There is occassionly talks and literature trying to address this problem of singleness.

Herds talk is aimed at putting it in the minds of single sisters that even if they are not pretty there is still a chance that they will be selected as a potential marriage mate. They must work hard on their inner beauty.

Its another form of control in the guise of giving hope to unmarriageable mates.

To some extent, he is also telling males to consider marrying Sisters who show dedicated JW qualities. The thing is, most males can, for the most part, have both and if you are a Bethelite, you get to pick young females as well.

It hasn't swayed GB Mark Sanderson in any way.

The short is. IF you see a women in convention. And she loves to Cook and clean house(No idea how you gonna see that by first look)😁. But she is overweigh you are not gonna pick her. But you maybe more interested in slimmer syster. But what happen is she cant cook or clean? You gonna pick her anyways?

He was adressing the younger brothers. Probaly brothers that are 18.

I think it probably was a great subject like 50 years Ago. Wounder how many young systers can Cook today 😁 They seem very out of touch with the times we ar living in this days. Probably living in a convent like Betel got them stuck in a 60s reallity.

Maybe that is what’s going on.🙄. Every now and then there was a ‘crackdown’ and talks were given - no doubt instigated by dowdy women. Everything was aimed at attractive and/or stylish women.

As far as talks aimed at less attractive women telling them that they might attract somebody if they ‘work on their inner beauty’ - what a crock of shit. These women would be better served to look outside the JW religion before they debase themselves being doormats and Mother Teresa types in hopes that some moron might notice them thinking they will be a better cook and cleaner. 🤮

The fact of the matter is that there are many attractive women in the JW religion and they don’t have much to choose from if they are over thirty - unless they want to settle for crazies. Also, some older brothers are looking for eighteen year old girls! Sad, but true.
