  I am not saying society “should” destabilise its long held assumptions. I am saying that it appears to be doing so, and there doesn’t seem to be anything can be done about it, without disrupting the economic causes that produced it in the first place. It’s all very well saying we “shouldn't” change the definitions of words, but it’s happening anyway. You might as well complain about the tide going out. What’s the plan to stop it?

  Never underestimate the power of incompetence and the not inconsiderable reality that sometimes (often) people looking at a number want that number higher or lower than it really is ... so what do you know, their measurement errs in that direction.

  It's fairly trivial and easy to prove that unique user counts are always over-estimated and can only be over-estimated.

  There is not much separating Leninism and Nazism. They're both Socialist (Nazi = Nationalist-Socialist) and Socialist or Communist are interchangeable in Marxist theory.

  Both Leninism and Nazism wanted a dictatorship with a socialist mode of production. Nazism leans more on the supremacy of a specific race of people and production in service of the state, while Communism leans more on the supremacy of a specific group of people and production in service of the people (which turns out in all communist experiments to actually just be the state).

  Sure, they had different group identities they protected vis-a-vis persecuted but when you take away all identifiers and compare the two systems, they're pretty much identical.

  There's an entire philosophical theory: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Nazism_and_Stalinism which everyone pretty much agrees - they're pretty much the same, if not comparable and if you're an apologist then you'll only be able to point out one of them is worse than the other.

  It is a mystery why communism gets a free-pass for its sins. I saw a man stood at a table in Princes Street Edinburgh below a Soviet flag, handing out communist propaganda.

  Between them Stalin and Mao murdered tens of millions of their own people. Their crimes are astonishing in scale and depravity.

  If the man had been stood beneath a swastika he would no doubt have been berated by every passer-by. But I was the only person who stopped to tell the communist apologist what a prick he was.

  With the complete failure of communism there was a need to redefine the struggle. The proletariat did not rise up against the bourgeoisie - it joined it. Identity politics is the race to find new imaginary enemies.

  Gay marriage destabilises the concept of marriage regardless of the intention - uh, really?

  The vast majority of people are heterosexual and most marriages are between one man and one woman.

  A very small minority of people are gay and not all gay people want to marry. So the percentage of people in a gay marriage is a minority of a minority.

  I just can't see how this destabilises marriage.

  There was a time when minorities didn't have rights. It was entirely proper and right to correct that.

  And some, maybe most, members of these minorities only wanted those rights.

  But slipped into the mix was that at least some of these people were/are cultural Marxists.

  It was one goal of cultural Marxists to destabilise traditional marriage.

  Murray makes a good argument that of all the methods used, searches for online porn are probably the most reliable indicator - well, if Murray said that then I disagree with him.

  How do we know that those searching for gay porn are actually gay?

  They could be bisexual. And bisexual people are not gay.

  Government social programs that monetarily penalize women and children if she is married, and reward unmarried women for having more children, is a huge marriage destabilizer. It is also a huge problem for boys growing into men that feel useless, because that is how that portion of welfare society is guided to think. It is a systemic government dependence cycle.( Also guaranteed votes for a specific party.)
