    >>>>> On June 26, I conducted an interview with 27-year CIA veteran Ray McGovern.

Mr. McGovern makes some startling but all-too-believable revelations. Reading about the callous disregard for truth that Wolfowitz, Cheney, Bush, and Crew have shown over the past few months comes as no surprise. At least they know how to manipulate sheep, and the sheep love it.

It *is* nice knowing that there are still a few genuine patriots in Washington, though. To bad their efforts will likely produce not a scant of good. Ce la vie.

Yes the democrats lie to and its no secret but they didn't use lie's and exaggeration to start a war. If they did I would criticize them also. Also I was against Tony Blairs decision to join the war although he is a labor, left wing politician. He is as far away politically from Bush as one can be but wrong is wrong and this war was wrong.

Democrats lies are better than Republican lies? What about Clinton's same lies then to justify bombing Iraq and an Aspirin factory in the Sudan? Are those same lies also better since it was only bombs and not troops?

Sounds an awful lot like a lie is telling an untruth to someone entitled to know the truth.

But, once WMDs are found, are they still lies? Or, do they become truths and the Democrats will be the ones lying all along?

Yes.....but BUSH is the president. He is in charge. I really dont care if the democrats, the republicans, or the old man on the corner lied.

Did it upset you when Clinton said exactly the same thing when he was president? Or was it ok to bomb an aspirin factory and kill innocent people back then? The big difference is Clinton simply didn't finish the job.

Amazing how the liberals will adjust their blinders when needed.

The difference being, Clinton lied about a personal matter, an affair.

Bush lied to invade a country that was no real threat and as a result up to 8000 civilians and over 700 soldiers have been killed.

    Chalk and Cheese.

Well, he did that too, but those are not the lies that are being talked about on this thread. Clinton made the same claims - that Iraq had WMD, and he even ordered a strike against the country during his term. So you see, there really is no big difference afterall.

Iraq never stopped being bombed from the end of the last Gulf War, under the pretense of securing the No-Fly Zone.

Clinton carried on the work of Bush senior.

Clinton was a liar. Of course he was, he is a politician!

But Bush's lies, measured by the severity of what happened are worse.

To J6OCR9 and all you other Bush-Bashing Know It Alls:

Suppose I paint a school bus Day-Glo Orange and you give me six months to hide it in California somewhere? No fair peeking.

I'd be willing to bet dollars to donut holes that the whole pack of you geniuses that claim you could second-guess Saddam couldn't find it. You yo-yos obviously don't understand the mind of the Arab any more than most Americans understand the mind of the Oriental. But you just know they ain't got no WMDs in Iraq, and you're all too willing to make yourselves look like idiots in public about it. This is called "autistic perception." It's the same thing that makes a hunter see a 10-point buck just before he blows the farmer's best milk cow to smithereens. "I dunno, Ethyl, I coulda sworn hit were that big buck I been huntin' fer the last few seasons."

And when the truth about it all comes out one day all your foaming at the mouth is gonna embarass you and mortify Simon.

Best you leave off being Experts Without Portfolio
