I don't know what they do now but here in Ukiah back in the early 90s, sometimes we made the 2 hour trek over to Yuba City and sometimes they would rent the local fair grounds. Always a relief to drive the 5 minutes to an assembly instead of all the way over there.

Good point. The stress the 'brothers' face about attending all 3 days of Conventions must be off the chart. All the guilting about attending every minute of the Convention, or getting fired from your job.!!
Looks like a number of us on this forum attended CAs at the Yuba City AH. Originally our congregation was assigned to the Freemont AH, which was only an hour drive from home. But then in 75 or 76 we were transferred to YC AH, a 2 1/2 hr drive. So we had the additional expense of a motel room.
Can't say that I have any fond memories of the place. Though I do remember that a group of JW teenagers got bored during the talks and went outside and dismantled the watering system. That was a hot topic at our next elders meeting.
