Teaching your kids reality like sheparless is doing is the best idea in my opinion. Figuring out how to do it in a way to keep the kids engaged and how to do it while being an inactive JW is what im struggling with.

Never underestimate the love-bombing. If you do go, remind yourself these people are indoctrinated and they will try to recruit you, this is a cult after all and their methods work, so keep your wits about you.

I agree with Stan. If you are going for the experience of knowing, go to a hall across town.
Im a non JW too. Is there value to my going? Yeah but only to watch family and friends cringe when they begin their diatribe on hating everyone who isn't involved with the cult. I've lectured them on this.
But please realize, being married with kids is different than my situation. I can see no good that will come out of your going.

My kids do have the option of not going, but they get the guilt card played on them. I've even stepped in and said to quit trying to use guilt. As far as allowing them to go, well I agreed to both of us teaching them what we believe. They are NOT jws nor anything else until they are 18. There will be no baptism, none of that until they are adults. I have no need to go to another kh, as I have studied this org everyday for the past 6 years and know waaaay more about them than most jws do.

Just an idea or possible option but since you have agreed to let your wife take them to the meetings then it's only fair that you get equal time to talk to them about what they've learned and share any alternate ideas you may want them to know about.You could attend the meetings weekly or now and again and make it clear to the family and the JW's who may commend you for being there, that you are only there to monitor what your children are being taught and to make sure they aren't receiving a one sided view of things.
Seems to me you will come off as being reasonable and fair (especially to the kids) and will keep peace in the family. The biggest problem with growing up JW is the way they close off any discussion about alternative views. You could fix that problem by knowing what they are learning and making sure they get the other side of the story.

Like Heaven said about baptism, the pressure will be on as they get older. This organization pushes children to get baptized and by recent talks and demos at their conventions, parents have been basically told to hold off drivers license to their kids until they get baptized. (Tony the Turd Morris himself said it.) Their so called friends at the hell will consider them bad association and the pressure will be on.
Don't let them get roped in by this nasty cult.
