JWs claim to be fulfilling Mathew 24:14...

But JWS are just preaching false prophecies and doctrines created by the leaders of the Watchtower Corporation, who scripturaly are sinning apostates (false prophets) ?

They made a personal vow at baptism to be obedient and subservient to those men.

People who say things against Jesus's instructions for preaching his Kingdom Gospel are sinning apostates.

Of course one has to to read carefully the words of Jesus to understand that, which the JWS are demeaned to do, that is actually read the bible without the WTS's own interpretation.

Ironic that, in his attempt at "theocratic warfare", he was unintentially truthful.

    Because it IS presumptuous.

All kidding aside, I was really glad the ARC asked that specific question...

...on account of the fact that they had been briefed on just what "theocratic warfare" actually was, and what the actual beliefs of the WT leadership really are.

They gave Jackson a chance to be genuinely honest, and he showed his and the Org's true colors.

Not to mention that it also revealed just how far they've fallen, considering how willing WT reps were to publicly declare how they really felt, back in the day...

...say what you will about Fred Franz and Haydon Covington, but when questioned during the Walsh trial, at least they had the balls to own that shit.

Totalitarian religious rule is at war with democratic individuality There are religious systems that are totalitarian in their rule. History shows one of the oldest of these to be the Roman Catholic religious system. By its spokesmen the claim is made that the salvation of all mankind rests upon the obedience of everybody to the pope at Vatican City. Because it considers itself to be the only agency for human salvation , that religious system has undertaken the program of world conquest. … Watchtower April 1 1956 pg196

The GB who are the spokesmen of the JW organization says the above about the ROMAN CATHOLIC in year 1956. Today the JWs see the roman Catholic as the leading EMPIRE of FALSE religion. You only need to apply the same standard to the JWs organization.

No matter how JACKSON try to wriggle free he still got himself and the ORGANIZATION nailed. They are PRESUMPTUOUS and the words of Samuel to Saul applies to them 1 Samuel 15:22-23..............IDOLATRY.

Nice interpretation of what JACKSON said the problem lies in JACKSON words saying they are TRYING to DO SO and in essence TRYING TO BE GODS SPOKESMAN which is different from the QUESTION raised which is........

QUESTION: And do you see yourselves as Jehovah God's spokespeople on earth?

Answer: we view ourselves as trying to fulfil that role as JEHOVAH'S GOD'S SPOKESPEOPLE ON EARTH.

In essence they SEE themselves as trying to fulfill the ROLE.

Jackson was lying for the org, plain and simple.

Not technically. So many skip over that small word "SEEM". He said, "That I think would seem to be quite presumptuous. . ." SEEM : to give the impression of being. He never said, "It would BE presumptuous to say. . .

He was simply deflecting and saying OTHERS would find it presumptuous to make the claim, while never actually admitting that the WT has made that claim, or that he did not believe he was part of that "special" eight man direct line to God.

With all due deference to SV, I had not read all replies before making my own. At the mouth of two or more witnesses??

How can you presumptuously try to be something which you already have claimed to be and self identified ?

The WTS/JWS have proclaimed they were god's solemnly chosen organization going back to 1919 and the decades that followed.

One has to keep in mind that the GB men see worldly government organizations below themselves in their perceived power arrangement, so they can be deceptive toward asked information from these organizations.

Did anyone notice that when Jackson was asked what Jesus would think about a certain verse he answered: "I hope to ask him someday".

Uh.... WTF.. This is a man that speaks with Jesus along with the other 7. What did he just do?. He reveled he can't speak to Jesus.

Htbwc: He was referring to his wt belief that he will be raptured soon to be in direct contact with "jesus" Rev. 14*, He, like everyone can have a monologue with "Jesus" right now. If you hear an answer, see a shrink.

He admitted they, even in quorum on Wednesday, would not get an answer.

    * he is not a male virgin, but a married man

P.S. is there a transcript of that session?
