I think that during their existence the only truth said by the WT was:

"Religion is a racket and a snare".

The only problem is that today they are religion and a vivid exponent of that saying.

Governing Body member Stephen Lett illustrated 'forever' by a parakeet filling the Grand Canyon one grain of sand at a time. It had been used before, including by evangelist John Ankerberg, with slight changes - Ankerberg used the moon I think.

Lett: Parakeet and sand illustration ends with “forever has just barely begun”
Ankerberg: Parakeet and sand illustration ends with “eternity would just be beginning”

    Discussion here, http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/225010/bro-lett-governing-body-borrowed-illustration-from-outspoken-wt-critic?page=1&size=20

A well-meaning Christian sister said to the mother: “It’s too bad you have failed at child training.”

Ha ha ha! "A well meaning Christian sister"... If that's their standard of "well meaning"Christian love they are more delusional than I thought!!

Anecdote on the hop (you will probably not find this experience in JW literature or hear it from the platform):

"John was sitting at home, feeling suicidal and unsure of what life was all about. Then the Witnesses called. They told him what life was all about and urged him to study with them. John did so.

"He now knew what life was all about!

"Trouble is, the Witnesses were highly judgemental about John's lifestyle choices. He began to feel suicidal again and, even though he now knew what life was all about, he dreaded the thought of spending forever on earth with these judgemental people.

"Death seemed the better option. Bye bye John!".

As some of the posters have mentioned, if they are so dishonest with their oral quotes; can imagine what they can do with their publications. We don't have too, there plenty of examples of open dishonesty or stretching the truth to the max.

    Thanks

The whole Jesus crap is plagiarism. They took that from at least 18 different pagan gods who fulfilled most or all of the criteria for this "messiah". And from the sun, which is the real Christ--it returns each morning, it "dies" on the "cross" on the Winter Solstice, and is resurrected three days later on Christmas Day.

At least the sun doesn't pretend you are a damned sinner and demand you to give up everything, even your ice cream money, for salvation.

If they need to resort to such stories for impact, then the foundation is very shaky at best....
