Joe134cd you do realize that the WTS is trying their darnedest to protect their public image, this too is the main reason why the WTS mandated and influenced that instances of pedophilia within their organization were not to be brought before the law authorities.
The WTS has done this before in paying out of court in California back in the late 1990's.
They most likely will do it again
WT is simply applying basic risk management.
In-house lawyers, settling out-of-court - works out to be less expensive than the damage that they would incur with any mea culpa.
Things are piling up however...awareness is always the start.
