Why are there still so many of humanity that are immersed onto the lies, ignorance and delusions of religion ?

All religions under critical examination has been recognized inherently as formative lies devised to appeal to human emotions and as a means to cultivate power and control for a select propagating few.

Knowledge acquired through scientific inquiry and evaluation has proven that all religious adherence was mostly drawn out human ignorance targeted toward the emotions and consciousness of people.

Here we are in the 21 century and people like the JWS are still adhering to the lies of Christianity and how this religion developed over time. In this situation these people have been mentally manipulated and exploited by men running their religious publishing house even inciting people to sacrifice their own lives toward this dubious work of commercialized fiction.

    Because:

    -Many were born into it

-It explains the inexplicable (even if irrationally)

-It makes them a part of a community

-Majority do not have mental capacity or will to understand complex scientific processes

-It brings them hope of a better future, and of life after death

Partly because their community is already designed around it. It explains how people tend to take up religious ideas in their community rather than from other areas. If a person is a Christian, most likely they will become a Christian if their larger and smaller community are. Little education or desire to learn outside one's group.

The Bible is proven correct in terms of the current world situation becoming worse. Morality has gone down the toilet, heinous crimes have become common. Murders are common everyday occurrences. Children are much more rebellious than when WE were children.

Still yet, I do concede that overall violent crimes have continued to drop. Human health has gotten better and longevity has increased. I also concede that natural disasters have more or less remained steady.

I don't believe that we will ever return to 1950s levels of crime and morality.

One would have to admit though that imposing fear and ignorance plays a major roles in their involvement, particularly with sects like the JWS.

Other faiths try a little harder to do the right " moral " thing out their beliefs..

How so ? have you done a thorough examination of the social behavior of ancient people within their civilizations ?

Tribal wars , loose sexual deviance, murder, famine, earthquakes etc were quite prominent in ancient times and more so given the over all human population base. !!!

So which one is it? You say the bible is correct, then go on to say exactly the opposite of what the bible says. The bible says all of these things would be increasing towards the "end", while the evidence demonstrates that this is not the case.

Religious beliefs of billions over thousands of years have been nothing but lies.

    It's all control and manipulation.

    Science has disproved religious claims.

Good grief, do you really believe all this?

You have more faith than I do!

I think it is a mistake to look at religion purely from a doctrine and belief perspective. A greater factor to consider is the social and psycho-social role that religion plays.

In other words, very, very few people actually join a religious organization based on what they teach. A good 90% of the people who join don't even know what the religion actually teaches before they join. Hence, using doctrine and what they believe isn't the most important reasons to consider when seeing organized religion from the critical eye.

Though the words of experts in the matter vary, most-to-all agree that the most common reasons for people to join a religious organizations have absolutely nothing to do with their believes or teachings. The most common reasons why people join religious organization are more about how they feel than about what they want to learn:

    1. Decision point - they want guidance about important life decisions
    2. Dissatisfaction with state of world - they are disappointed about how things are and need to find comfort
    3. Loneliness - they need socialization, a place to belong to, a group of people where they can enjoy the company of others
    4. Loss of loved ones, loss of other types in life (job, tragedy strikes, divorce, etc.)
    5. Ego - they see religious leaders and they want to be them
    6. Relieve doubt - they want a sense of certainty about the future
    7. Spiritual search
    8. The “buzz”, or emotional arousal "Other people are doing it"
    9. Attractiveness of religious leaders
    10. Health reasons - they want hope and comfort or help with a disability
    11. Recovery from substance or behavioral addictions
    12. Escape abusive situations
    13. Find a suitable mate

If you see those reasons, most of them have little-to-nothing to do with actual doctrine.

Later on, when they learn what the religion teaches, expert say, that these are the most common reasons why people stay in spite of the faulty logic and strange believes:

    1. They continue to believe in the leader
    2. They are too invested, their entire social life revolves around the religious group and they want to protect their investment
    3. Their family member are still in and they want to hold onto family
    4. Their bonds and relationships can be real and solid
    5. Too proud or too embarrassed to admit that they have been wrong for a long time
    6. Fear of losing their false sense of security; fear of having to face life on their own

Again, those things have little to do with what a given religion actually teaches. If you ask me, we don't need to look at experts' opinions, just read the post of those who are still in and are struggling and you will see some of the items in the list as their reasons to being still in.
