On another forum, a user posted that their partner is being hauled before a JC for asking questions and, that the JC will go ahead regardless if in attendance or not.

The post does not say what questions were being asked.

Another user responded with - possibly viewed as 'brazen conduct'.

Here is the link to JW.Org - brazen conduct: https://www.jw.org/en/publications/books/bible-glossary/brazen-conduct/

    Surely this can't be so?

"Causing divisions" comes to mind as another excuse to convene the kangaroo court.

I can easily imagine that someone asking "certain kinds" of questions might be viewed as wanting to cause discord, ruin others' faith, etc.

Oh yeah there's a WT from the 80s that says even thinking something contrary or questioning in your mind is apostasy. They I think are cracking down hoping to stop the tide of those waking up and leaving.

It would entirely depend on the elders holding the JC. Only in a cult would asking questions be considered a sin. They'll try to ascertain if the person is asking questions to cause doubts or is genuinely seeking answers from "gods word".

    She now has a choice.

Go in there and be truthful and get DF'd

Go in there and grovel and come out not DF'd and fade.

Loose lips sink ships in the WTS - keep your gob shut and just stop going.

Guys n Dolls yours truly knows all about this case and will keep you updated over the next few days - but its now fully a Legal matter [for what its worth] Go figure !

Regarding the Questions .....which were ......

1 - Overlapping Generations [please explain from the Scriptures] and

2 - Geoffrey Jacksons...." that would be presumptious" statement - How can we claim to be the Channel to God ? How can it be supported with Scripture.

    The charge is Apostasy !

At NO time was any attempt made to provide "pastoral" intervention ...spiritual intervention and "Scriptural correction" [God forbid that such were possible]

You saw it on Reddit .

The letter contained some other details which we wont go into now...

The Zappa will keep you posted but ...they will probably be contacting Bethel as we speak and then who knows.....just proceed with casting the stone against the head -

The intention was NOT to try to overthrow the JC etc etc but just to place a final statement on record as a 6 decade life hooked onto this cult now terminates !

Also there was NO intention to go and grovel in the back-room and waste precious time - while they boosted their ego's -

    Amen

I hope you know the branch couldn't care less if you try and Sue them over a disfellowshipped at least in the US. Recent case law shows there is nothing a court can or will do.

One to thing to have questions that cannot be answered.

Quite another to have questions that cannot be asked!!!

    Let's review: It's a Cult!

    Certainly signs of a cult!

A great expression that sums it up is:

"I would rather have Questions I cant answer, than Answers I cant question"

Overlapping generation? Please explain using scripture. LOL!

I 'll have to remember that one next time I see a JW.
