Oh BlackWolf,
Being a JW, automatically gives you a split personality, and the GB do it on purpose.
We are not supposed to lie: Geoffrey Jackson lied at the Australian Royal Commission.
We are supposed to care about one another: Nope. The GB loves pedophiles and covers up any facts. The child? Who cares.
We are not supposed to get higher education: Any lawyers out there that will come to Beth hell and work for us for free?
We are not to ingest any blood: Blood fractions... Come get yours.
I lived through '1975 is the end of 6,000 years of man's existence': Hmmm, us??? We never said that???
Wanna be an Elder. 'Musn't have looked at porn for the past 2 years. If you say, No, I haven't looked at any porn (and or jacked off) for 2 years, you are now officially in the WT Big Boys Liars Club'.
My suggestion: Kiddo, you need a vacation from the life you have only known. Tell your mom and dad that they are being overly protective. You love them and always will, but back off on this baptism subject.

Blackwolf,
I have read most of your posts and see your dilemma. I am so sorry you're being pressured so much into doing something you really don't want to do.
I know you're only 16 and feel totally trapped and alone.....if there is something I can do I will Blackwolf.
I know you like drawing and horses. Focus on these interests for now.
Take care
Kate xx
I know you mean well but its too late to go back now, I've already told them I'm going to do it.
No, it's not too late. It's not too late until you're actually under the water.
You can claim that you prayed about becoming baptized as you don't consider yourself ready yet. You continually think about Jesus example as the son of God, waiting until he was 30 before being baptized. If that wasn't an important consideration, why then did God feel it was important enough to mention it in the bible?
Honestly sometimes I feel like I have a split personality, jw me and whatever the real me is.
Further proof that you're not mature enough to commit to a decision that will effect the remainder of your life.
I know that getting baptized is a bad decision but I had an incident last year that I really, really don't want to repeat. I can explain if you guys want but its a long story.
Also my elder father threatened to take away the only things in life I enjoy if I didn't show signs of being "spiritually stronger" and "putting the kingdom first". I'm very afraid and I feel like I have no choice. Also saying that Jesus got baptized when he was 30 doesn't work, I tried. :( I'm at a very low point right now, I'm sorry if this thread is annoying.
Countless people out here wish we could go back and NOT get baptized.
Baptism just gives them a bigger stick to beat you with.
