Page 16, par. 18 Carefully follow the latest directions.

Do we faithfully follow the latest directions that Jehovah has given us? If so, we will not rely on always doing things the way we have done them in the past. Rather, we will be quick to follow any new direction that Jehovah provides through his organization.

Page 21, par. 19 Never should we forget that Jehovah requires wholehearted obedience and exclusive devotion.

    Questions from Readers (at HQ!)

If an unmarried couple spend the night together under improper circumstances, would that constitute a sin meriting judicial action? YES!

    Two witnesses not required????????????????

I'm sick of the inspiration claims the GB keep on making, all the while not using those words.

"Do we faithfully follow the latest directions that Jehovah has given us?"

Really... did they hear a voice from heaven? What's that - they didn't? Well, then, where the F*CK do these nut jobs get off claiming DIRECT REVELATION?! Either Jehovah has been giving them faulty directions all along (hence, the need for constant updates and doctrinal tweaks and discarded "light"), or these self-appointed narcissists are lying through their teeth.

And there's no way you could fall back on this "gradual light" explanation, given the fact that new light often contradicts old light. If anything, Witnesses have been dazed by the erratic, flickering rhythm of blinding strobe lights; laser beams that could shoot them down if they happen to be on the wrong side of a life-threatening doctrinal decision.

It kills me that the rank and file cannot even see that the only two possible scenarios are a) God has a track record of lies and utter disorder, or b) the lunatics leading them are charlatans, masquerading in full PayPal Papal servitude. The fact that this kind of issue is not even up for pondering or questioning speaks volumes of how lulled into a hypnotic stupor they are by the mind-numbing repetition of the Faithful and Discreet Slave's divine authority.

    SHAME, SHAME, SHAME.

And no doing things the way that works for you. I do not necessarily rely on doing things as they were done in the past. Rather, I learn to do things in a way that is going to work. And when a new technology comes along, you need to adapt to it and learn how to incorporate it. This is as true with ordering items, looking at videos, finding new music, and managing whatever health conditions you may have as it is with pushing a religion.

And I have had some adventures doing that since I got Internet access. I no longer order products by placing a phone call or filling out a paper order blank and sending a paper check or debit/credit card number. Nor do I simply order without cross-referencing the product so I am not getting a lousy product. I also watch many videos on health issues, try out things, and observe what works for me and what doesn't. (Hint: What works for me may not work for you.) I have expanded my music collection, without paying for space-wasting collections with the song I want and 17 that I didn't or that are redundant.

But, following someone that is determined to lead you into damnation is a lousy idea, even worse than relying on what you did in the past that may now be outdated. Do you wish to do Israel missions every year, wasting precious money and time trying to get psychic energy the rabbis need to impose stack 'n packs on you? Or keep playing videos (wasting data and battery life) to householders that can then reference the material and rebut it in about a day instead of studying for 6-18 months? Or, quitting your job so you can pious-sneer (donating more psychic energy toward the damnation of the human race) because the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger said so?

Does anyone else perceive a potential "new organizational arrangement" seed being planted in JW minds here - perhaps to be unveiled at the Annual Meeting?

If so, it's odds-on that it will be cash oriented.

    *** w17 February p. 26 par. 12 Who Is Leading God’s People Today? ***
The Governing Body is neither inspired nor infallible. Therefore, it can err in doctrinal matters or in organizational direction.

It's been going on already. And YES, they are building up to some, "impractical from a human standpoint", MAJOR change. On that fact I would be willing to place a large bet. And I would be just as sure that in some way it will involve the money of the R&F.

As fall guy said, if it's in the July wt expect big changes at the annual meeting this October. Doubt it will be doctrinal .

I was reading the article on recognition (heaven forbid we want someone to tell us we’ve done a good job) but they were trying to drive home a point using 1 Corinthians. How do they use the Greek scriptures if those supposedly only apply to the anointed?

Normally I'm pretty skeptical of "conspiracy theories" related to timing of articles.....

But the article quoted will be studied in mid-September, just 3 or so weeks prior to the annual meeting.

    So, maybe.

    Not an elder's wife.

She has it all in immodest dress - hem above the knee, slit, plunging neckline, and no sleeves.

He has side-shaved hair, square tie, no jacket, sleeves rolled up, and pants too tight.

    A ToMo special.
