God Cannot Lie, But God's Organization Can?

In the recently leaked Bethel training videos, both speakers state that inappropriate flirting really amounts to lying, as if a person is misrepresenting either his interest or availability to another person romantically.

We are reminded that the Bible is very plain in its expressions on lying such as Proverbs 12:22 which states it is detestable to God. So with the example given here, we must have a very high standard in separating what is truthful from what is not.

With that being the case, it shocks me that Bethel would produce a video presented to all in attendance at the 2017 regional convention regarding the early 1970's, essentially rewriting history as to what actually happened.

Is misrepresenting your past and misleading millions of followers not a much more extreme case of lying from those who claim to reject any form of lying no matter how small, such as flirting? Would anyone like to add more examples to this thread?

Discussing "Millions Now Living Will Never Die" without any reference to 1925, when the whole booklet / campaign was about jubilee cycles proving that readers could confidently expect the resurrection of the patriarchs would come in that year.

Its the FDSL(GB) who can lie and we've done it many times, accepting are lies with faith and devotion is a measure in which Jehovah finds you in his appeasement.

There was a watchtower article I think in the last year or two, about lying. It showed the definition of what is a lie. (WT's version that is)

Satan told Adam and Eve a lie - that is bad because it brought about their death.

Rahab told an ~~lie~~ untruth - that is ok because it saved the Israelite spies from death.

It's only a lie if it causes one of God's people harm. Telling a lie to someone that doesn't deserve the truth - isn't a lie and is commended.

@ days of future passed - Well according to that WT logic, the GB's lies ARE the bad hurtful ones. MANY R&F JWs were "harmed" financially, emotionally, and even physically, from just the 1975 stuff alone.

Many JWs were shamed from the stage into selling off their material possesions. Into not having children, hence harming their emotional states. Shamed into not pursuing higher education, and living a life of poverty.

This is just one example of how the GBs LIES have HARMED "Gods" people. That's not even getting into the blood issue.

So, even by the GBs OWN definition of "bad" lying, they ARE liars.

Yes this actually was put out decades by the WTS. ago, the article stated it was a form of spiritual warfare against opposers. Talk about mind control or thought control.

The Game of the WTS and its leaders is make as many as people they can to come under their stature of power and control. Proclaiming that god has chosen them was just a part of that endeavor to gain followers. followers who would distribute the WTS literature themselves and cultivate more subservient followers.

If you take the Bible to mean what it says and not what you interpret the words to mean then God does lie.

Gen.2;17 "But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it ,for in the day you eat from it you will positively die."

They did not die in the day they ate from that tree like God said so he lied .

Adam and Eve would only have known what a day was from their experience just as we appreciate what a day is.

God told Adam that he wouldn`t die and if he was a loving partner of Eve he would have told her also.

However the point is GOD LIED
