The " NOT A PANDEMIC" brigade have been noticeably absent
because they have been proven wrong, this virus pandemic has created an enormous amount of ignorance, fear and confusion.
This virus pandemic may not have been as deadly as the Spanish flu or the Black Plague but its certainly has been an annoyance, aggravation and a depression.
By the end of summer or early fall we should have most of the social restrictions lifted.
Thank god or even better higher education for the help.

India has a problem within itself because of its high population density and weak under supported health care system for that population.
They are running out of oxygen in these hospitals which has provoked many Covid patients to die when they could have been possibly saved.

Covid was a picnic compared to the "Actual Conditions" people in India have live in.

I work with this indian guy. He was relating a story to me about a neighbour who lives next door to his family still in India. He passed away outside on the street connected to an oxygen bottle. There was just no room in the hospital left. What a terrible way to die.

well--they cannot possibly vaccinate a realistic number of people--and the hospital system has already been overwhelmed..so this is just the beginning of the pandemic there.

in the UK we have had 127,000+ deaths..but India has 20 times the population . So , by comparison there could be 2,500,000 deaths in India--without taking the overcrowding and poverty.. So--in real times..could well double the global total to date.

For the people affected, India must have the worst Corona-Sars-2 epidemic on the globe. The Modi government has badly mishandled the epidemic.
In a country where millions are day labourers, Modi's first lockdown was announced with less than 24 hours notice.
People at work, suddenly found themselves without money, food etc. Hundred's of thousands then had to try and get home (without transport) to their home villages.
This latest plague shows even more clearly the way India is faar behind the rest of Asia,
The latest shortage > Wood to cremate the dead.
