Have others considered that Marxism might offer an answer to the meaning of life?
What is the purpose of life?

I'm just sticking to the script.
That was my plan. Ask the question, leave it dangling for a while, quote some poetry, say something about exitentialism, but ultimately that it's not the answer, then a few days later the big reveal: Marxism is the answer to the meaning of life. Then my work here is done.
Have other things been happening on the thread? I guess I'm just focused. You could say I'm in the zone.

@SBF - please explain why Marxism is the answer to the meaning of life.
The paucity of thriving Marxist countries means that I'm yet to be persuaded that Marxism is a credible political system, let alone life's answer.

I tend to shy away from all the isms,, communism, socialism, pessimism, futurism, watchtowerism, to name a few. But if one is desperate for a purpose and meaning in life then choose one and see.
I tend to see this as a personal issue and varied responses depending on ones religious indoctrination, cultural conditioning, as well as education. I tend to find life a mystery and the question of purpose very subjective in nature so I do not use my brains cells to process the question as it would be meaningless in my estimation and because I got a lot on my plate/mind right now with all the information I'm getting on the internet to process.
Not saying it is a complete waste of time, just for me it is presently maybe when on on my deathbed I'm might ponder it more as I head to that great computer in the sky and download all my data.

"In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets." No I'm not going to name any names but some of you need to hear this essential principle because it seems that some of you don't have it.
It seems that you don't have it either. These are actual quotes of yours:
You will be first on the list for his vengeance.
You are actually dumber than you look.
You sound dumb.
you are just so evil that it isn't even innocent anymore.
If you were my daughter, I would have popped your mouth a long time ago
How do you reconcile these hateful statements with your beliefs? Did not Jesus say "let him who is without sin cast the first stone". Doesn't the bible say "an answer, when mild, turns away wrath?

I was being disrespectful and I apologize but let's not act like I wasn't being kind in the beginning. But then a certain someone started to continue to harass and ridicule the Lord just because they don't believe in him and have no intention of believing. The fact that most of you on here will go along with that is just wrong to me. It's sad that most condone the ridicule of God himself on the internet but in real life you never see them saying the things that they say here because they know no one is going for that, but then again, this is the internet afterall like I sad.

Whatshalllcallmyself, you said I was promoting a mass-murdering God, just stop while you're ahead. God does not permit people to murder as evident in his Ten Commandments to Abraham. And I abide by that rule promptly. Don't put me in the same category with those who use God for promoting their malicious acts because I am not like that nor do I promote it. So please, stop lying. And my belief does deserve respect as I'm not advising any wrongness at all. I'm advising happiness, worship, and overall sanctity involving morals through Jesus Christ. It's silly for you to assume that me, as a God-fearing man, condone murder and other wrongness just because I believe in God. That's prejudice. And you should know that there are loads of other rules that tell of badness that humans should stray away.

I don't talk about religion in public because I don't think it's an appropriate subject with people I am not well acquainted with. But this is a forum on religion, so it is an appropriate place to discuss the subject of religious belief. If you don't like the tone or the direction of the discussion the solution is pretty obvious, nobody is forcing you to stay.

So you're okay with people disrespecting other people's belief just because they don't believe the same thing? I thought this was a board with a lot of adults, not children. I'm sure you and others have the capacity to disagree with me without having to resort to disrespecting what I believe in by mocking and treating God like trash all because of your own lack of faith which is not a bad thing, by the way, you just lack it according to my opinion.
