Geoffrey Jackson testified to the ARC that the Governing Body has apologized for things in the past, so an apology to sexual abuse victims is "perceivable". What has the Governing Body EVER apologized for?

    1. 22 Q. Just on that point, Mr Jackson, has the Governing Body
23 considered apologising to survivors of child sexual abuse
24 at the hands of elders within the organisation?
25 A. I haven't been in any discussions with regard to that.

27 Q. Is that something that you foresee might happen in
28 other words, that an apology at least be considered?
29 A. The Governing Body has apologised on other matters, so
30 for me to say I can't speak collectively for everybody,
31 but we have apologised on things in the past, in other
32 areas, so it is perceivable.

They have never been wrong. Even when they do a complete 180 on a belief, they claim they were 100% correct with the old belief and also the new, completely incompatible belief.

But anyone who doesn't believe what they believe ... that day ... is an apostate and must be banished.

Especially if they notice the BS and question it or point it out.

Hey GB - you're a bunch of useless wankers and you KNOW it.

There was a very evasive apology published after Jehovah's 1975 no show. A search should find it.

They don't apologise, they blame it on the r+f. The r+f got it wrong about 1975, they 'misunderstood' the Watchtowers. Nobody stopped them selling their homes to pioneer did they! Nobody stopped them giving up their businesses to work on JW building projects. The end was just around the corner.

Have you noticed that 'Millions now living will never die' had been quietly changed? JWs now think the title was 'Millions now living may never die'. This is a bare- faced lie. No apologies are forthcoming.

It took nearly five years before they even ventured anything remotely approaching an apology over 1975. As stated in a Watchtower early in 1980, they did concede that "to an extent" they (the WTS) shared responsibility.

According to Raymond Franz in Crisis of Conscience, this was a very watered-down "apology" from the one he sought.

Xan - They don't apologise, they blame it on the r+f.

This is the grass roots truth of the matter.

Often the phrase "this publication once stated" is used when referring to major errors in the past, as if the magazine or books came up with the erroneous ideas by themselves!
