    Of course it’s better to be single than married to the wrong person.

    But, as far as your JW cousins in their 60s and never married.. I wouldn’t be sitting there if I were them!.. They are objects of ‘pity’ and are sitting ducks to be targeted by Users. This is the only use for single women there. I wouldn’t give anybody the satisfaction. I got criticized for my job so these hypocrites wouldn’t get the right time from me.

    I walked away from the JW religion in my forties because of the 1995 teaching on Generation. I knew it was Over.. I didn’t leave because there were ‘No men’. Although looking back in retrospect I probably should have.

    In time, I Retired. I will say this: I’m glad I’m not in the religion now after what has happened over the last two decades!!.. I’d never stand for being targeted to do favors and/or being asked for money in general - and especially for people who didn’t work. 👎

    In short, I’m Glad I’m out.

    There is absolutely no incentive for a JW woman to wait in hopes of finding a JW man. They don't get to have congregational "privileges" anyway.

    The whole “Spirituality” as currency mindset is terrible. I’ve seen HOT JW women with lesser men just because they were Elders and very “spiritual.” These same women loved it when I took my shirt off at the pool…

    Meanwhile, my life was Hell because I couldn’t get appointed as a Ministerial Servant because I wasn’t “spiritual” and didn’t get 10 hours in Field Service every month. Not an average of 10 hours mind you, but 10 hours after working 60-70 hours a week to support a family while the vehicle I paid for and put gas in was used to haul JWs in the “life saving” work.

    I can’t tell you how many miserable nights I spent with a woman who wanted the status of a “spiritual” man who was going places in the Borg.

    I guess humans are just prone to seeking some kind of status. In the Non-jw land it could be Rich-Tall-Handsome. In JW land it's being an elder and giving talks at conventions.

    It's those who have figured it out that finding someone who loves you for YOU---- and not some imaginary Brad Pitt or Freddy Franz that have a change of a life long marriage.

    That being said, neither SPIRITUALLY STRONG or RICH, TALL and HANDSOME guarantees a happy married life.

    Perhaps being single, dating beautiful men and women, and going home to your own bed WITHOUT THE DRAMA, is the best option these days.

    PP. If the gift of the gab, that gets you on the convention platform, is the catalyst to make you appealing to a trophy wife, what is wrong with that?. I have seen happy marriages between seemingly mismatched partners, smallish men and fully grown and developed women. love never fails.[to last]

    Imagine the benefit for the jws, if Frederick the Great would have learned the ropes and tied the knot and forgotten, and not get tangled up in all the doctrinal stuff?

    Regarding ‘spirituality as currency’ mindset: I did hear plenty of talk about sisters looking for a ‘spiritual’ man.🙄..Such a silly word.

    However, in my ‘unspiritual’ mind and heart I never truly ‘got’ it. Maybe it’s because I was not a born-in?? My values were shaped before I joined the JW religion. While I may have wanted a decent guy, I certainly wasn’t looking for an elder (or anybody there with a title).. I’m sorry if anybody was deluded enough to think they were hot shit because they were an elder.. I certainly didn’t think so.

    Sometime ago, I read a post where somebody said something along the lines of: ‘being an elder was about as important (or exciting) as being the president of the local book club’.🤣 ..I certainly agreed with this. Sorry if this offends anybody.

    Getting back to the point of the thread: there are too few men in the JW religion and far too many women there looking for any man who has a pulse. They should do themselves a favor and look elsewhere.

    Eight years ago I started a thread:

    Here is what I wrote:

    Every week the same brothers and sisters are late getting to the meeting. Elders are talking with other Elders ( who always have notes and folders in their hands). "Brother Kiss Ass " is always around the Elders hoping he'll get more privileges. Shy Brother is sitting down until meeting starts and leaves as soon as meeting ends.
    The sisters have way too much perfume and makeup on. Their long dresses make them look Amish. "Brother $2000 suit" and "Brother $200 off the rack suit" both are talking to beautiful sisters (who in the real world would never have a chance but here will marry with no problem).

    Wuz, I'm not knocking it, don't get me wrong, but it does come off like a hater thread. Plenty of truth in this thread but this stood out to me.

    As for the comment about the brother in the expensive suit and other brother in cheap ass suit making conversation with beautiful sisters they would never normally have a chance of hooking up with-- this is ABSOLUTE REALITY

    I know one sister who basically married her jw stalker. Yes, he is ugly as f%#@ and she is gorgeous. You can only reject so many even when you're gorgeous in this org. Apparently she had already hit 30 and was in the final legs of potential suitors. She held out too long. Result= marry the ugly monster with no personality.

    I know of another sister who is also pretty and likewise rejected potential suitors without thought or concern. But see, she was a convert and had not fully appreciated the disadvantage and game behind the jw dating scene. Now she's37-- a spinster according to jw world. Condemned to be single.

    Your old thread from eight years ago still is very accurate - regardless of whether anybody thinks it is a ‘hater’ thread.

    The only difference today is that there are somewhat fewer JWs in the religion. Many have left and I would wager most of them are male. That means there are even fewer left in the pool of ‘available’ men. This is assuming they are even desirable to a woman with common sense.

    I realize Witness world is a small fishbowl where a guy who may not be attractive and has nothing going for him will be sought after by desperate women.. But as long as nobody confuses this with Real world standards outside the religion where guys like him would be laughed at!

    As for that pretty 37 year old ‘spinster’ who was a convert and didn’t ‘appreciate’ JW dating standards and rejected ‘potential suitors’ (how dare she? 🙄)..she should find a guy outside. The hell with everybody in the idiot religion! ..She is not ‘condemned’ to be single if she wakes up!
