no problem everyone... glad I could help.
I just tried helping m0nk3y, but he's stuck behind a transparent (mandatory) proxy. Now I'm having people check http://www.lagado.com/proxy-test to see if they're behind a proxy before I walk them through changing their hosts file. Some were behind an optional proxy and could just turn it off in IE. Two so far were behind a transparent proxy.
simon: any way to change the DNS records for j-w.com over at maximumasp's name servers? They think they're authoritative for the j-w.com domain and still point to the older IP address. If maximumasp could become un-authoritative for j-w.com or at least change the IPs over there, it might help speed up the transition.
