Unless Trump really pisses Pence off, I see Trump hanging in there until another possible impeachment. They want to ruin Trump so he can never come back.

That is a good point Minimus.
This whole thing was winding down and Trump was going to be out of office, replaced by Biden. The problem was Trump wasn't looking as defaced as he needed to for the well planned out narrative which is set to overtake America (and it's not the Democrats folks - it's the Tech-nocrats.)
In fact, he was looking more "Robin Hood-ish" to many of his followers. That could not be allowed. So what to do? The march on Washington by Trump supporters was already going to happen so why not send in the same rioters from the summer riots and the BLM riots? They can blend with the Trump march and do enough damage to shock and permanently ruin Trumps reputation for good.
So that is what happened. The mercenaries walked into the crowd, redirecting to the Capital and we all saw what happened from there.
An appearance will be made to "find" the criminals but it will die out. If anyone is "found" they will be called QAnon. That is why we will see on the news ONLY interviews that support and promote that narrative.
The goal was to A) Remove Trump from office and B) Make sure he is completely discredited so there won't be any threat from him in the future as any kind of leader,

I saw a speech on Wednesday where Trump instructed protestors to march on the capitol and that he would march there with them. Then Trump went home and let the protestors march on the capitol themselves.
Don’t they feel a bit stupid for believing him? Serious question.
