Waiting on a mountain top for the end to come is a fools errand. The JWs are giving up life now the only one they get for a promise that is never ever going to happen. This is exactly why the old ones cling so tight to this BS. You spend your life giving up living and sacrificing things like children, vacations and work to spend it in some BS cult and you can not bring yourself to saying you wasted your whole life.

Like so much of other teachings from the WTS that they are wrong on, they are wrong on this as well.

The prophesy of saying peace and security and the destruction that occurs thereafter does not occur kicking off the GT, it occurs kicking off Armageddon.

The saying peace and security is tied to Rev 11:10 which occurs AFTER the 42 months (GT)...

Imagine the scenario. Man has finally figured out a way to eliminate or at least reduce war, famine, pestilence and other things. They declare peace and security and then that vindictive God says fuck you, I will have none of that and starts reigning down fireballs from the heavens, floods, earthquakes, and other things. Seriously, how fucked up is he and that behavior?
