Blondie, you are correct. When reading any Watchtower article, especially their study articles, simply transpose "Watchtower Bible and Tract Society" for their use of "Jehovah". It will then make greater sense to the reader of the nature of the Earthly Manmade Organization.
John the baptist and Jesus went ahead of the "Organization" of their time. These two men were not products of the established Order. They were neither friends or family of the Leadership in Jerusalem. Same could be true today. Eric Wilson seems to be on that path farther ahead of JW.org.
I just don't get it. What behaviour might result in one being accused of "running ahead"?
SB, pointing out that a doctrine/policy of the WTS is not valid using the WTS explanations, and showing proof. Now the WTS tells members that even if the WTS might be wrong, that jws should wait until god corrects it (by divine intervention I suppose but not until many people have been injured by the WTS teaching or policy)
Gosh. I'd completely misunderstood it. Thanks.
When I was 16 years old, I asked the Circuit Overseer whenever the Organization published an explanation of prophecy that later turned out to be wrong, hadn't they run ahead of Jehovah, on the basis of Genesis 40:8? He really did not like that question, at all. Neither did my dad, the Presiding Overseer of our congregation, at the time.
I view them as a pack of "wolves" leading the "sheep". If any sheep runs ahead or points out a wrong path then they are bitten and killed [dfd] period.
snuggle. Answer is.. thinking.
afterburn.. ooh well said that young feller!
I recall a cartoon from the world war time with hitler as the teacher and mussolini as the student.
H. says "Of course its easy, divide your losses by 20 and multiply your gains by 10."..
Example of running ahead of Jehovah's chariot
