Typical/Antitypical is the very thing that woke me up. GB said we don't believe that anymore with one stroke of the pen. I was ANGRY. Think of the years worth of meetings we have gone to and that is all we studied! They were making it all up as they go.
Well then what about Daniel 4 that they base 1914 on? That is Typical/Antitypical, so 1914 must not be true. That was my reasoning. Looked it up, sure enough, not true, and I am out after 43 years of wasting time. Makes me mad.
I don't care about doctrine. I care about loving Jehovah and Jesus, and helping others to experience the joy of being Jehovah's friend.
Just hold your horses here. Let me sum up the "Other Sheep" thing from the Governing Body point-of-view-
"We invented the other sheep when we needed a doctrine to explain having more than 144,000 members. We used gobbledee-goop as our explanation and threw in some scriptures. Now, it has been established for so long that we can stop even acting like we invented them, but that it comes from Jehovah. If we happen to tweak a few old doctrines here and there to set ourselves up for radical changes, the sheep won't understand the first gobbledee-goop nor the new gobbledee-goop, so we're still good."

A watcher, if you really knew the Bible and not just JW doctrine you could be Jehovahs son and Jesus brother a member of christs body. But as a JW the most you can do is be Jehovahs friend. Well hate to break it to yah but there no mention of people not in the new covenant being in gods kingdom.

I still don't understand that one. From start to finish, this religion is almost entirely typology. --Even things as basic as the name, "Jehovah's Witnesses" and the notion that they are "Jehovah's chosen people" are parallels they have drawn without any explicit basis.
If they were to truly give all that up, there would be nothing left.
Thank you for posting this. When I heard the type/ anti type "change" I was like... Wait!!!! Everything we have been taught as "truth" stems from this...I saw the foundation of this whole cult crumbling... Just waited for anyone else to notice.😉 Lol
