    Two thoughts here....

Obviously the Watchtower writers don't understand what the word "sovereignty" means.

And secondly.... it is truly odd how often verses the watchtower points too, when read in context, actually mean the opposite of what is claimed and frequently actually condemns the specific teaching alluded to.

    Hi,

I posted before the rest of the comments....everybody is spot on...Witnesses think they are God's PR/Rep. and they are to protect his name, because he told them...God can vindicate his own name...I think God is letting the org. continue, because they feel they can help...The org. reminds of a child that wants to help with the chores but not really useful, but the parent let's them help any way, just to make them feel they are helping even though, most of the time they mess it up...This is how I feel about the org. and God. God knows there are some folks who think Jehovah belongs to them...they are married to him....yet, they talk about the nuns....nerve...

Wondering if any one will really see through this statement..."if you disagree with us"...we never disagree because we know what would happen to us...The org. dares us to disagree...that's a bully statement. How prideful that statement is...listen to us because we know...yet, we are not inspired nor are we always correct...but follow us anyway....I imagine this picture...it's after the GB, we are following the brother we are walking one way, suddenly he gets a new understanding of which way to go.....

This whole ARC thing and other secrets the org. has...I think if God did choose them...he is humbling them little by little...the clay feet are breaking away....again, if God did choose them. But I don't think so...

Many won't agree, but many are in the org, just because they claim to be chosen by God...and their future is safe and all locked up...could care less about the doctrine or any other changes...don't care what the brothers say, they will in public say, we are supposed to follow the brothers, but in secret and in field service they say, they ain't following no brothers no where. Most witnesses are in there because they have found a place where they fit in....they cover their spirituality and social life....as they say in baseball, "SAFE"..

Jehovah don't need no org. to protect his name, people need orgs. As a matter of fact there are few scriptures that says Jehovah will glorify his name....what God is saying....you humans watch out for each other 'til I send my son again...don't worry about my name....I got this...just be nice to one another...spread the good news....if folks accept it...cool, if not...don't worry...

Good point Tor , add in a assertive amount of fear to the psychology and you have people greatly influenced to stay loyal to organization.

In reality if you disagree with the GB leaders you effect their sovereignty, not god's

Jehovah's Sovereignty is at Stake | We Must Proclaim the Vindication of God's Holy Name | God is Settling the Question: Who Has the Right to Rule? | Jesus Paid Back What Adam Lost | The Bible is a Book of Government | We Must Preach the Good News of the Kingdom (interpreted as the WT) ... Blah, blah blah, Blah - blah, blah, blah

The above statements represent what Christianity is "all about" according to the Watchtower. These tenets were all shoved down my throat since I was old enough to read and understand. And, they are all LIES FROM HELL. Pretty ingenious how they made a cult out of God's own name.

My parents, older brothers, aunts & uncles harped on these topics to the point where they nearly were frothing at the mouth sometimes. Virtually every question I asked was met with one of the above "thought-stopping cliches". They are designed to shut the mind and the mouth. For some of us, that is very hard to do.

The bible is not a book of government, it is a book that is divided into two sections: an old testament and a new testament. The word "testament" means literally "CONTRACT". But a contract for what? They are contracts that guarantee avoiding judgment after you die.

....it is appointed unto man, once to die and then face judgment - Hebrews 9: 27

There was 1 covenant in the OT and 1 in the NT that guaranteed safe passage through this judgment. They WERE NOT formed for any of the silly reasons given by the WT above. They were for the purpose of forgiveness of sins....PERIOD. The sole purpose of the WT is to obscure the Salvation offered by the NT.

The ...“other sheep”, are in a different condition. The Jonadabs have fled to the Lord and there found refuge. They are still human creatures, not even justified, - w.38 p.104,105

Question for Jehovah's Witnesses: If you are not justified before God by the blood of Jesus, how do you become justified? And, Is justification necessary? The bible is clear:

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through
our Lord Jesus Christ - Romans 5:1

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved
    from wrath
    through him. - Romans 5:9

As noted above, without being justified, you do not have "peace with God" and you will not be "saved from wrath". Can you justify yourself by being "in good standing" with the WT organization? You tell me:

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. - Galatians 2:16

A few years ago I took out all the references in the NT referring to what the Good News really was. This is what I came up with:

New Testament occurrences of the term Gospel of _______:

Gospel of Jesus Christ (or Christ ) – 12 times

Gospel of God – 7 times

Gospel of the kingdom – 4 times

Gospel of peace – 2 times

Gospel of the grace of God – 1 time

Gospel of your salvation – 1 time

Gospel of the uncircumcision – 1 time

Gospel of the circumcision – 1 time

Gospel of his Son – 1 time

The Watchtower focuses MUCH OF their raison d'etre for preaching the “good news of the kingdom”. They try to make this the exclusive message of Christianity and interpret it as pertaining to themselves. That was not the main Good News.

The Good News refers to Jesus himself, the one we were denied communion with at each memorial - and NOT the Watchtower.

    PERSONAL SALVATION is the message.

    Hi,

The good news for any who fear death....is Jesus was resurrected from the dead...and brought back to life and then went to heaven...now...was he in charge then or in 1914....who knows...it was invisible..

To be honest...does anyone want to die? Nope...so if this whole bible thing is true, we get to come back and maybe the earth will be a better place...that would be nice...you wouldn't have to look behind your back to see whose behind you and if you do, it won't be anyone who will harm you....

As the bible says....The Good news is Jesus...he was raised from the dead but before that he died for our sins...that's the meat and potatoes of it....The OT, was about God, the NT is about Jesus...and faith in him...not the WT...

The WT doesn't know what to preach about...they will preach about anything that is different from other religions...even if they are wrong...since they say they are not inspired which God's sovereignty are they proclaiming or even following. So if one day they get a new light on God's sovereignty wouldn't the first light disagree...I'm just saying...one thing the org. has not been able to find a teaching and stick to it.

When there are so many references to 'be obedient', 'obedience' and so on, it's because something is going in the wrong way from the GB's viewpoint. The more this kind of articles are published, the worst might be the attitude of those inside the org towards the WT hierarchy.

The recent propagations by the GB such as stay loyal to Jehovah and this recent disagree with us ruins Jah's sovereignty, is just undermining word play that has come into effect now since most of the organization's core doctrines haven't been fulfilled.

I sense the WTS is going to change some core doctrines pretty soon like dropping 1914 altogether.

Keeping and maintaining doctrines to appear viable is the task for today's GB members.
