I watched the video and am very surprised about the sudden-ness of being discharged with no prior warning by having your stuff boxed up and put in your car (or by the front door).
I was of the impression that bethelites being let-go or "reassigned" got some sort of a letter and had at least a month's notice. It almost sounds like somebody being fired from a secular job for cause and they don't want the person on the premises because it's a security risk. And, at least a secular employer gives the person their last paycheck and maybe severance, etc.
If true, (and it probably is), it makes the religion sound heartless and literally kicking people to the curb and their stories of "reassigning" people just B.S. unless some privileged characters there are actually being reassigned (sent to another branch).
At least this brother is young enough to start over! Pity those who are older! As the poster above said, this is a bad advertisement to send these fired bethelites into the congregations.
Once they are settled, I am sure some of them are going to open their mouths about what went on at bethel. I'm sure some will be resentful when they see how hard it is to live in the REAL world. I'm also afraid that any generosity these ex-bethelites receive in the congregations may be short-lived as the rank and file may not feel like giving money to these people.
