The irony would be hilarious if it weren't so sad. That's right, a country that bans women from driving cars is on the UN WOMENS RIGHTS COMMISSION.

"Electing Saudi Arabia to protect women’s rights is like making an arsonist into the town fire chief,"

I'll put a link to Fox AND CNN so the cry babies don't call foul for posting a Fox news article.

So... who is going to organize a march around the world with vigna hats and such to protest this ironic stupidity? Anyone?...

The story is worth bringing up but you take it as an opportunity to bash your political opponents even though they haven't had time to react. Since Saudi Arabia isn't within reach of U.S. protesters it's not likely that there will be any marches through no fault of their own.

I don't have political opponents only idea opponents, I agree and disagree with everyone on all sides on specific things. There was a hot debate here a while back about the value of the U.N. I think this is a continuation that the U.N. is a farce and waste of money as it exists right now.

Glad she is speaking out, she is, however, a conservative if I am not mistaken. But good for her! More people need to call out this BS.

I know, I wanted to bang my head against the wall when I read this to see if I was living on earth or in hell but this is the reality of the world today, thanks to the rise of radical leftist ideologies.

I think this sums it up nicely

The Geneva-based human rights group UN Watch condemned the U.N.’s election of Saudi Arabia, “the world’s most misogynistic regime,” to a 2018-2022 term on its Commission on the Status of Women, the U.N. agency “exclusively dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women.”
