My favorite bible version is when reverted back to its original form, a tree.
NIV and NRSV are two pretty solid translations.

I would like to find an original translation one with the words Baal for lord, Elohim for yhwh, El for God etc. I wonder how many times Amen is truly used in the original translation for the name of God. -

Crazyguy, try your local synagogue. They could probably point you in the right direction. I would think that the Jewish community in Iran possess some of the oldest copies ..... but we may blow them up in an attack one day.
