The caveat is "living on campus"..... And child.....what if the "child" is of age and emancipated from parental jurisdiction?

I will believe that one when I see it. That threat has always been out there. As long as the Elder has his nose up the right ass*s and steps it up a whole bunch, he will be ok. I'm thinking only the average Elder who gives his honest opinion and can't do much for WT or the congregation will be let go. Even then, WT can't even drum up new Elders, they can't afford to let any go. I sure would like to see where some Elders loyalty lies when it comes to choosing Education over his position.

One of the last congregations I went to was near the University of Puerto Rico. Every year there were always new people coming to the congregation because they started studying there, and many wee children of elders.
As always, they are full of shit.

The Pew religious Survey for the USA has the JW's dead last for higher education and dead last for income.

What a grand excuse to get out of eldering. "Sorry, boys. My kid's going to college. I will sit down and be a regular publisher. Last I heard, it's not a judicial matter. See ya." -

With the end of this system of things sooo close, does it really make any sense to begin investing in a 4-year, 6-year, or more years of education, when you can be certain there is not enough time remaining to complete a degree?
