There are two Kingdom Halls in two parts of the county I live in. One is smaller and their are already about to begin work to replace with a new one.
Just posting because I noticed posts saying their wasn't new KHs being built. And I learned this today from someone.

In the small town of Chowchilla, CA they will soon be building a "new kh". It will replace the basically "new kh" that already exists on the property. 'Apparently', or 'clearly' the RBC did a poor job of checking out the building site. They built a "quick build" kh on an abandoned landfill about 5-6 years ago. lol The existing kh and parking lot have since partially caved in. What a fiasco for those poor brothers in Chowchilla!

A Believer Yet again you use a logical fallacy. You learned this from "someone" could you please tell us who this someone is please? And as you are close by these supposed KH's Did you not notice this for yourself?
I cannot believe A Believer is so gullible to even think, he/she can actually get away with posting such things on here without evidence to back it up...I think A Believer is rather board today as he/she once celebrated Christmas, but is now forced not to.

Welcome back A Believer, how's your study going? It's been what? about 5 weeks of you studying now? Have you gotten to chapter 4 yet of the Bible Teach book? :)
Anyways, there is construction of a few halls here and there. It's true that construction hasn't stopped completely. However, if you are not aware, the GB originally said in an elder only meeting on Jan/2015, introducing the new LDC arrangement that there was an extremely urgent need to build and renovate thousands of Kingdom Halls in the US within the next few years.
Just a few months later, said plans to build and renovate KHs was put on hold. Here was the announcement Sam Herd gave:
Just a few weeks ago, another video was shown to the congregations in which it was said as "encouraging news" that 54 KHs had been built in the 3 years since the LDC arrangement was established. Nowhere near the 1000+ halls they originally claimed to need. Here is a link to that video that wifi bandit graciously shared:
Add to this the cuts of bethelite and special pioneers, the shrinking of the magazines sizes down to 16 pages, the magazines now being bi-monthly, the selling of bethel compounds, the consolidation of congregations in order to sell Kingdom Hall buildings, the constant asking for money, and you get a clear picture that things are not so well financially down at the supposed House of God.

I totally disagree. People are in such denial about what's really happening! Again, the WT has a real estate business. They no longer rely on preaching and publications, nor they have ever cared about their people. They now have a thriving real estate business. They made gazillions of startup money in their business by having all their KHs turned over to them.
All, each and every single decision they make is solely based on the fact that they have a different source of money making. Here's the contact info:
