I was baptized 4 years ago, I have 2 little girls who love their bunnies, so this year we reached out to 4h and started our own 4h group - this was after asking the elders for counsel. None provided. Now after doing this for 3 months I am being brought before a judicial committee for neutrality. I cant find a way to humble and agree on this. We literally just read about a brother who was revoked privileges for getting married, and then the brothers realized their mistake. I need counsel on this matter, I am not serving two masters, i am trying to live a balanced life with my family and Jehovah in the center of that life and do the best I can in this system. Thank you for ANY Advice, guidance etc!

Honey, everything is between you and your God. Nobody has any authority over you but you!
I hope you stand for your principles.

I don't know much about 4-H, but it doesn't look non-neutral to me?

Also, I know a brother in Brazil who works for CISV (see http://www.cisv.org/ and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CISV_International ) and that kinda looks similar? He doesn't get into trouble for it.

    As for neutrality:

How dare any of those who speak for Watchtower condemn you?

And by the way, welcome to the forum! We don't bite!

    Did you check Watchtower Library?

    From Wiki:

In the United States, the organization is administered by the National Institute of Food and Agriculture of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

In 4H, they pledge allegiance to the 4H flag and to 4H principles, although they probably wouldn't have a problem with JWs not doing so on religious grounds.

The WT probably considers 4H "worldly."

In WT land, almost everything is considered worldly if it doesn't involve WT meeting attendance or field service.

I think you should question of stupidity of the needless legalisms of this self proclaimed channel to God.

Effecting your relationship with Jehovah lol. Good one.

If the history of doctoral flip flops, questionable NWT and basically building an entire theology on the book of revelations and idolatrous worship of the governing body doesn't effect your relationship with God, don't worry about 4H.

I don't want to scare you away by saying this, but I think you should research cults and mind control. Combatting Cult Mind Control is an excellent book to read on the matter. I believe the lightbulb would go off and it would help you make sense of your situation.

Just tell the elders that your no longer under the law but under christs sacrifice. Then read the scriptures about what the Pharisee did to the people with all their rules. Then read the scriptures where jesus says look after the rafter in your own eye before anyone else. If they act befuddled then mention that the organization was involved in the UN for ten years and is still a member or involved in the Old Warsaw Pact of Eastern Europe, can't remember the name now.

Also not to long ago they were lobbying a state on the east coast trying to get them from passing a mandatory reporting law for child abuse.

You also may ask why the organization fought cooperation with the U.K. When they wanted to look into child abuse allegations. Doesn't the Bible say to obey the governments?

Jennifer, most people here are no longer JWs. Many of us are former Elders, Ministerial Servants, Pioneers. This really is a site to discuss the lies, hypocrisy, and false prophesy of the WTS/JWs. Some have been disfellowshipped. Some have disassociated themselves. Some are just inactive (faders). And some here are still active JWs because they need to stay for various reasons of family or friends or business contacts.

With what you have going on -- DO NOT discuss the fact with the elders that you came here for advice or you will be in even MORE trouble with them.

Now, IF you are concerned about remaining in "good standing", you will have to tell them that you (1) had no idea that being involved in 4-H compromised Christian (meaning JW) neutrality and that you will cease all involvement; or, (2) if you want to "take a stand", you can tell them that you believe they are confused because THEY THINK that it is a compromise of Christian neutrality. Ask them if they have consulted with the WT Service Department. Ask them what evidence they are using to make that conclusion (because you have seen NOTHING that your conscience says violates Christian neutrality).

If that is your real name, you should probably ask SIMON (the moderator) to change it so you are not discovered here.

OK. After all that, don't you see that the WTS/JWs really are a "Cult"? Just look at how they are controlling your life about such mundane issues and that they threaten you with excommunication (DFing). Why is this already a "judicial meeting"? Why were not the elders there to lovingly "snatch you out of the fire"? (Jude 23)

You are welcome to PM me if you want to discuss it in more detail. Trust me, if you are discovered talking here by the Elders, you will be in deeper trouble. Good luck!

    Let's review, folks: It's a Cult!

My advice would be to take care of your family first and not WT with it's ridiculous myriad of hypocritical irrelevant rules.

They expect you to be loyal to an organization which has nothing to do with being loyal to your own family or to God.

Learn how to distiguish the difference because the org will only look after itself not you or your children.
