    Waiting,

I may be slightly spherical but not bi-polar! :-)

Spent several years working with two friends that were and dern near went nuts myself trying to figure out what was going on when they would go over the edge. My wife worked in a mental health agency for 17 years and one day she sat me down and told me the facts of life about MD (pi-polar). Once I understood what was happening it made life much easier.

BTW, them dumb Yankees obviously must be freindlier since they are so quick to "wave back". Funny, the flash backs////whenever I see the word Yankee, I think of the Dub convention there in 1953 and how self righteous we were back then..

Never liked the ball team after that experiance.

    Hey Carmel,

My husband was at NY Yankee stadium in '53 also. Stayed in the big trailer camp nearby.

However, unlike you and him, I was just a baby.

Nah, Yankees just think Southerners are ignorant. Selling them "peecans" by the side of the road.

In reality, there are just as many rednecks in the north as the south, imho. Southerners' accent is just so much fun to make fun of. I know, I have one! But I still get called a Yankee sometimes. Southerners never forget your birth state. Hey! btw, South Carolina just took their Confederate Flag down from the Columbia Court House a couple of weeks ago. Progressive thinking, huh?

Rednecks in the North? Sure, but we call them Swamp Yankees. We have one living down the road from us.....strange man, very strange.

    Hey Red,

Never heard of that term. However, since living "down here," I've come to accept the fact that any state above the Mason/Dixon line is considered Northern/Damn Yankees - or my very favorite redneck special "Yankeeland." Funny, when I lived in midwest, we just thought of ourselves as that - in the middle of nowhere. Moved down here, discovered I was a Yankee.

I learned to garden when I moved South. The most beautiful, long, growing season available. Daylilies are my favorite. I have hundreds of colors. My dogs think my gardens are a jungle (they're short Dauchshunds)and dig every dam*ed gopher out of my yard, and half my yard with them.

Nice chat'in with you. Swamp Yankee, huh?

    Hey Waiting,

You know why Jesus didn't come to South Carolina?

They couldn't find three wisemen or a virgin there!!

You know what they call a swiming pool filled with Mississippi chicks?

    Bay of Pigs!
