Would making fun of an elder, CO or Governing Body member, be considered brazen conduct or some other WT sin, like apostasy?

What do you think? Is it an actionable judicial matter, even?

Well why don't you try it at the next meeting and see what happens? Lol

Calling them a A hole would get you DF. But they would have to prove that is

    a lie...

Judicial meeting: Brothers you know Elder Nut Job is a A hole.

Elders: Yes we know he can be strange sometimes, but Jehovah selected him.

Me; So are you saying Jehovah's spirit picked him to guide the flock?

Elders: Yes, maybe it's a test.

    Me: You are all nuts..

    1 Corinthians 4:6-8 NET

I have applied these things to myself and Apollos because of you, brothers and sisters, so that through us you may learn "not to go beyond what is written," so that none of you will be puffed up in favor of the one against the other. [7] For who concedes you any superiority? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you received it, why do you boast as though you did not? [8] Already you are satisfied! Already you are rich! You have become kings without us! I wish you had become kings so that we could reign with you!

^---Er, the opposite of this. They'd consider you making fun of the self proclaimed "glorious ones". They due tend to think a position makes them holier than everyone else and that they are ruling kings in the here and now. Or at the least they think you are their slave ... so you don't question or make fun, just OBEY.

Also, they consider themselves 'mother'. So i guess that makes them a queen, like Babylon the Great. This is not to say that next week this may all change.😉

Remember  these men are easily  butthurt, and they have elevated  their word to be equal  to God's. They have little humility. You might encounter  a few problems, lol.

I said recently that the new light was to sell all of your tight pants and buy an ipad.

It got a laugh in a mixed crowd of JW's including a recently re-appointed elder. Lol....

I was once counseled for "not respecting Lordship" in regards to the decision making of the elders.

This guys hated me. If he could have done more he would have. The meeting didn't go as he liked (there were 4 elders in it....long story), but lets just say it ended with a quick lecture on Jesus words regarding the Pharisees "lording it over the flock" and his ignorance as to what the original language and intend of jesus words were. Then a cherry on top of it really doesn't matter what you think, you don't qualify to be an elder, and are a stain n the congregation.

I walked out. No reproof, no nada.

Sometimes we forget that you cannot legislate opinion.

It really depends on how you make a funny and around whom.

You just have to be careful because seriously some really do think they are your rulers and you are their property to do with as they please. GB members are moonbats because they live in a whats pretty much a bubble in a secluded compound with tunnels and crap underneath.

Wow, do the elders really make any decisions anymore?

You could have told them they were a bunch oxymorons.
