Not only that, it allows the slave owners to beat their slaves. The Bible can be banned for this one reason

How about the wonderful nugget of the bible where god tells its armies that they should kill every man, woman, child and animal from a conquered village, but that the virgin girls could be spared and taken alive.

    I wonder why....

    Smiddy,

    You didn't answer my question:

I only see three choices regarding sin and death:

    1. God can enable it by forever letting it happen

    2. God could make it impossible through instinctual programming and loss of free will

    3. God can judge sin

Do you see ANY another possibility?

It's not a trick question. If you don't see any other possibilities regarding sin/evil, which one makes the most sense to you?

Doesnt Jah have free will and cant sin at the same time. How about that.

Were you aware that this is exactly what the gospel offers?

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. - 1 John 3: 9

At first a believer is perfected only in their spirit.... which the bible assigns personhood the same as your body or soul. Later, everything gets perfected when the sin nature is removed from a glorified body and the soul.

But, you have to ask for it out of your own free will. Believing that JESUS died a substitute death for you will accomplish the same things as well. Every religion and ideology in the world except Christianity is spelled : DO

    Christianity alone is spelled: DONE

Sea Breeze, are you saying we have to ask God to make it impossible for us to sin?

Their is a film called "The last days of American crime"

In 2024, the U.S. government prepares to activate the American Peace Initiative (API) signal, as a final response to terrorism and crime. The U.S. government plans to broadcast a signal making it impossible for anyone to knowingly commit unlawful acts.

As the government prepares to launch the American Peace Initiative (API), the citizens take to the streets for one last purge of death and destruction.

"Sea Breeze, are you saying we have to ask God to make it impossible for us to sin?

Yes. We sin because it is our nature to do so. Since we are disconnected from the Source of Life, we decay. God doesn't save a person just from judgement. He saves them for life with him.

He himself is the greatest gift and purpose in life. But, we have to be sinless to fellowship with him. A new spirit is the down-payment in this life. Full payment is in the resurrection/rapture when we are glorified into immortality and the sin nature is removed.

    TruthBKnown:

“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.”

"to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt" - Romans 4: 4

The more a person tries to "gain God's approval" through their good works, church (or any other means other than the cross) , the more debt they will have to pay for on Judgement Day. Let that sink in a minute. Quite a paradox don't you think?

This is why the Watchtower uses phrases that appeals to our sinful flesh:

    "Gain God's Approval"

"on the path that leads to Life"

"Identify God's channel of communication he is using today"

Do, Do, Do ...Blah, Blah, Blah

Jesus last words were, "It is finished".

    DONE

I think Dawkins had it right when he stated that it mostly depends where and when you are born to determine what your belief system is. EG. If you were born in ancient Greece you'd probably worship Zeus. If you were a Viking you'd worship[ Odin. ..and so on and so fifth.

Therefore, I challenge anyone to justify why they just happen to believe in the god more appropriate to their own era and culture.

....and just why are there so many sects within a religion. Doesn't that alone prove that such a god is a useless communicator?

Sea Breeze, do you believe this was God's intention right from the very beginning, when he created humans? Did God set things up in such a way in order to lead humans to the conclusion, that the best way humans could use their free will, would be to choose to have their free will curtailed? Choose to make it impossible for them to sin.

If God is the answer as to why something exists rather than nothing, then it still remains an appropriate answer today.

I don`t believe in the God of the Bible and I don`t accept the concept of sin .There is evil and crimes that are committed by humans just as the opposites are true

Sin is just a controlling tool used by religion.
