I'm wondering if the recent reorganization isn't an attempt to better hide the money trail.

I'm wondering if the recent reorganization isn't an attempt to better hide the money trail.
A very astute observation.
I was told by a 'Bethel heavy' that the reorganisation was to try to shield their funds from compensation claims by child abuse victims.
The apparent intention was to create a clear and distinct separation between JW policies and doctrines--which nominally originate with the GB--and the administration of the various corporations, on whose boards of directors no GB members now sit.
The GB would attempt to argue that the responsibility for any deficiencies in their child abuse policies would be theirs, and theirs alone. Therefore, if anyone was to be sued for compensation, it should only be the GB, and not the corporations. Sadly, however, the GB, individually and collectively, are 'men of straw' and possess no earthly assets...
Regards,
Ken
