Doesn’t that tend to rule out the Governing Body itself?

those whomeet andpartake privately for fear of the stigma ofclaiming to be anointed.
RR: Many do that privately, under the full moon, sipping. just out of respect for the enterprise, talking snake and all.
Let what happens after you die, up, down or sideways be happening as the universe unfolds it's self.
It has been a good ride so far, a success story, so not to worry.
leave the male virgins risking their necks with the hopefully sharp axe to their fantasies.
There is one thing that a cult fears in its ranks more than anything else: heresy.
Any dissent is stamped on mercilessly because uniformity of belief is the strength of authoritarian religious movements. Uniformity of belief is more impressive for the membership than truthfulness of belief. The powerless sheep can more easily identify with the uncompromising strength of Bible quoting dictators.
The JW religion already carries a raft of non-believing members the PIMOs -- and should they communicate and join forces the religion will implode. The same goes for the 20,000 partakers at the memorial, if they were to unify as a group it would diminish the authority of the governing body. They would find empowerment aside from Watchtower HQ. They would become a splinter group and the thin end of a wedge to dispel the illusion of divine blessing on the GB.
It always creeps me out how the literature tells the members how to think, as if what they say is law:
Anointed Christians do not feel that they should spend time only with other anointed ones, as if they were members of an exclusive club. They do not search out other anointed ones, hoping to discuss their anointing with them or to form private groups for Bible study.
And yet, some do. So what does that tell you?
The whole anointed thang has become a distinct embarrassment to the JW's. It had always been linked to the timing of armageddon. As armageddon came ever closer - "just around the corner" - so the numbers of anointed diminished year by year as heaven filled up as they died off, every year getting closer and closer to the magic figure of 144,000 dwelling upstairs.. Indeed, going back to the 60's (my teenage years!) a new anointee was not a subject for rejoicing - it was greeted with sadness because it meant that a former member of the anointed had fallen away from The Truth and this new member was simply a replacement.
Just nuts when you think about it.
JWs meeting -- and talking independently -- in small groups -- is anathema to a paranoid Governing Body; it's probably the real reason they dismantled the old midweek Book Studies in private homes.
When he introduced the so-called "new Light" in 2013 limiting the FDS to just the Governing Body, Splane hinted that it would hopefully end the nuisance of having to deal with letters from the field submitted by the (newly demoted) individual anointed JWs, writing in to offer their independent "revelations" or "New Light" suggestions, etc. "Thanks but no thanks" was his implicit message.
An interesting article, timed to study in Memorial season. It has some quite hard comments for the new anointed.
“So an anointed person is not surprised if some do not believe right away that he has been anointed. He realizes that the Bible tells us not to be quick to believe someone who says that God has given him a special responsibility. “...............
”They do not search out other anointed ones, hoping to discuss their anointing with them or to form private groups for Bible study. (Gal. 1:15-17) The congregation would not be united if anointed ones did those things. They would be working against the holy spirit, which helps God’s people to have peace and unity.“
“So the number includes those who think that they are anointed but are not. For example, some who used to partake later stopped. Others may have mental or emotional problems that make them believe that they will rule with Christ in heaven. ”
".............
So, they may feel put in their place by this article. It should be enough to deter one from claiming a new anointing, but we shall see.
Incidentally, just my thought but the article refers a lot to Jehovah having anointed them....does not Jesus come into it ?
The WT's 2 class policy, not supported by scripture, is now 3 class: other sheep, 'anointed' and 'real anointed', as evidenced by road to nowhere's comment.
The geniuses at Bethel set themselves up for this, and now it has come back to haunt them; they have to constantly diminish the standing of the 'anointed' and demean newer anointed by inferring mental illness, crowd mentality or their freshly coming out of B the G.
Face it, they men running this are not bright.
RR- Anointed Christians do not feel that they should spend time only with other anointed ones, as if they were members of an exclusive club.
The only exclusive club is the paedophile loving governing body (piss be upon them).
That's all folks!
I remember, a good while ago, they wrote in a Kingdom ministry that brother's should not form small groups to study the bible; that they should rely on the brother's in bethel to do this. That particular article had a severe impact in waking me up. Lets hope this artcile does this same to many JW in the cult right now.
