  I will post this separately, which was my first reason for coming on here.

  I have seen just today an article from ABC news regarding victims of sexual abuse in the WTS and how it was hidden; I have seen more and more on my Google News, and other news sources. I anticipate many more. I was glad to seen how many showed up at the same time with the news about the WTS conventions this summer. If jws are searching the news using some form of "jehovah's" or "watchtower", they would have to close their eyes and move away. But then jws seem to have a problem viewing pornography why not negative news about the WTS.

  Vidiot The Org leadership bend over backwards to snuff out any suggestion that they're not actually "God's Earthly Organization", and a pervasive, institutionalized, and endemic problem like CSA - especially in the #MeToo era - calls that claim into question like nothing else.

  Exactly. THIS is why they don’t report. They don’t really care about what the wider world thinks of them. If they do it’s only inasmuch as they don’t want Jehovahs witnesses to find out.

  Because if the problem gets big enough, information disseminated and the witnesses DO find out, as you say it will definitively prove Watchtower is not Gods chosen organisation.

  I didn't say it proved it; I said it called it into question like nothing else, but whatever...

  ...what's important is that more and more people grasp the real reason the Org is so anxious to keep a lid on the problem.

  It's not because they "like" pedophiles...

  ...it's not because they "don't care" about kids...

  ...it's not even because they're "evil" per se...

  ...it's about protecting the Concept that they're Captive to...

  ...because if the WTS isn't actually "God's Earthly Organization", there is no real incentive to be a Jehovah's Witness.

  And without a loyal membership, there is no Jehovah's Witness religion.

  Understanding why an opponent does something is, IMO, crucial in effectively fighting them.
