Thank God all my brothers and sisters are out (2 of each). I would hate to be in your position. My only relative left in (apart from in-laws) is my wife, and that's bad enough.

I hope that it is a momentary madness on your brother's part, try to keep contact open if you can - be amicable, maybe by your example you can save him.

I'm sorry to hear about this, Mike. I got a similar letter from my sister. I wrote her back and said I love her anyway. What else can you do? I'm sure she'll remember it someday. All you can do is be there for him when he wakes back up. The analogy of going back to the abuse was excellent. Hang in there, Mike.

To each his own. Happiness for me is just the opposite. I have no inclination to ever go back. Hope your brother finds what he is looking for.

So sorry Micheal. I got a similar letter from my mother. She didn't have anything to do with me for 13 years. Only really got to spend the last few years of her life, before she died. We missed so much. So many people in the same situaiton here, as you can see. I still have family in the org. I hope your brother and family and my family someday leave the org. Hang in there buddy.

Mike: So sorry to hear about this... frustrating doesn't even begin to describe what you must be feeling. I hope that he was exposed to a lot of the WTS garbage while he was out... maybe he will recall it when he realizes his life isn't turning into some magical fairy tale back in the Kingdom Hall.

So sorry you are "losing" your brother. Hopefully the loss will be temporary, as many people here will testify, once you've been out, it's hard to go back and stay back.
